Chapter 10

Benny's P.O.V.

It is the next morning and I just can't wait to see Fey again! I go downstairs happy and ready to take on the day.

"Well, Benny! You seem happy!" Grandma said as she saw me.

"Yeah, I guess you could say, I got over what was wrong." I told her. I didn't actually get over it, she just came back, but that would be too much to explain and I want to get to school quick.

Finally I get to school and I go to my locker, I get my books out then see Ethan and Sarah standing next to Sarah's locker. I walk up to them smiling and cheery.

"Wow Benny, I haven't seen you this happy since..." Ethan started.

"Since right before Fey left?" I ask him.

"Yeah."

"Well, I'm glad you're back it hasn't been the same without you." Sarah said smiling at me.

"Oh, hey catch you later! There's Fey!" I said as soon as I saw her, then I turned and started walking towards her.

"Hey Benny!" She said smiling.

"Hey Fey! Or, should I call you princess, or Amarantha, or Feyre?" I asked her not wanting to disrespect.

"You can call me Fey or whatever I don't care, but don't call me princess." She said laughing.

"How about hot-stuff?" I ask grinning like an idiot.

"If you insist." She said smiling and laughing again. She closed her locker then I held out my arm for her to take then we went to class.

"Ah! Miss Winter, nice of you to decide to join us again." The teacher said as we walked into class early.

"There was a...family, emergency. I had to go to it miss Jackson."  She replied to our teacher "of course you understand?"

"We never got a parent phone call Miss Winter, so no, I don't understand." The teacher said to her making eye contact with Fey.

"There was a family emergency. You understand." Fey said a bit more firmly this time.

"There was a family emergency. I understand." Miss Jackson repeating what Fey said. Then Fey turned and we walked back to our seats.

"What did you do to her?" I ask Fey.

"Simple compulsion."

"You can do that?" I asked her.

"Well duh." She said like it was obvious. "The weak minded are easily controlled."

"Wait, you could have been getting me out of my homework the whole time? What other cool things can you do?!" I asked as she laughed.

"Lots of stuff."

"Well, it's not my fault you never showed us anything before." I said laughing. "What was that about anyway?"

"I was ashamed that I couldn't fulfill my duties at the chosen one and that I had fallen to the Anti's. But now it's their choice it's no longer my fault."

"Oh, cool."

"Benny, you should know. I have done a lot of bad things in my long life. I have done many things that I now regret, I've acted impulsively, and done things that I now hate myself for." She told me.

"Hey, I kinda suspected that. But it doesn't matter, it's ok if you've done a few bad things." I told her. "When you're ready to tell me, I'll be here to listen."

"Thanks Benny." She said and smiled softly.
