What I'm Worth

You can say I’m worthless

but I won’t care

Because I know

I’m worth more

than you will ever be

You can scream abuse

but it won’t hurt

I’ve heard it all before

and I know

none of it is true

You can run around with other girls

but it won’t hurt

I know you don’t love them

you won’t treat them well

just as you treat me

You can leave

but it won’t matter

I’ve known loneliness before

and old friend

I can greet with open arms

You wish to ruin me

but it won’t work

My heart of stone

has dealt with the likes of you before

I’m not new to this game

I know that I deserve better

I think of all you did

and realize

I’m worth more than that
