ELENA POV
'They say searching for love is like searching for yourself. When you find yourself you find love because they are the same.' when I am here with them I feel like I have finally found myself. I wasn't even searching for love but some how I found it without looking. Yes in the future they ruin my life, and I tried to kill them multiple times but when I am with them they make me forget all of it. Damon no longer owns my heart, he is still there but he is slowly slipping away. These people, these men I once saw in a different light, now fuel me to continue in life instead of haunting it.

I still wasn't completely sure that this was real, if it was a dream or not, all I knew was that I was just gonna go with the flow. They had taken me in and I was grateful. Now it was just time for me not to ruin their lives. Sometimes I wonder if me and Katherine are more alike than I would like to belive.

Rebekah was the same, I felt like I needed to be there for her except it wasn't the same with three of the brothers. With the three of them she felt she had to protect them but also save them from themselves. And that she felt was her mission she was sent here to do.

Future Everyone's PoV

" Where the hell is she!?! " Damon shouted charging towards the surprisingly alive/dead Kai.

" I have no idea what you are taking about" he said with a fake shock expression plastered on his face.

" she's gone, I went to visit Elena and she's gone. What the fuck did you do."

" You know me all to well with my trickery. I didn't exactly lie, you see the curse still stands. If my Bon Bon dies then Elena will wake up. The twist was she won't wake up she will return. I sent her back to where she needed to be, so she can live out the next few decades with people that will protect her at all cost. " Kai stated his plan before coming face to face with Damon.

" Sorry to tell you this, friend, can I call you that. Well I'm going to anyway. So where she has been sent is to the people who she is meant to be with. You see I cast a spell on her and this family that makes them drawn to her and her drawn to them. Eventually she will give in and live her life out with them unless this family is special.... " he again smirked as Damon had a confused and broken look on his face.

" First of all Elena will never leave me. Second what family. And I thought I killed your vampy witch ass? " Damon was now holding Kai by the throat.

" Well friend, the witchy part protected my body, I can only die if....wait I'm not going to tell you. Well sorry to tell you this but unless bonnie dies Elena will forget about you within the next year."

" What are you babbling about now, dick "

" Awwww you have a name for me too. I feel so loved. Well another part of the spell was that as she spent more time with this family the more her memory of this life will disappear." Kai done jazz hands as Damon stumbled back with tears streaming down his face.

" Dont take it personally man, well it is personal but still. Even when she returns she probably won't even know your name." he smiled looking back on what he thought was awesome revenge.

" why? Where? Who? " Damon could hardly get those words out, he was trying to hold back his emotions but failing.

" Why, I was getting revenge and was bored. Where, more like when and who, go through your enemy's. Which one or ones were part of a ' special family'"

" The Originals. Why is she meant to be with them. She despised them for killing Jenna, destroying her life and killing her more than once." he said with disgust in his voice.

" I was contacted by a very strong and bossy witch. She believes that Elena is their redemption. So she gave me some of her very powerful magic so I could perform this spell so we could both get what we want. Me my reveng and her, her families humanity." Kai was now leaning on Elenas coffin. They were in the Salvatore crypt. Damon looked like he was in deep thought.

" So Esther contacted you to do this so she could redeem her children. But she's tried to kill them, multiple times. " Kai sarcastically clapped his hands.

" well done Einstein. What are you going to say next. Oh maybe that unicorns walk among us." he had a fake shock face. He's to Sarcastic for his own good.

" Shut up dickhead. Where is she. Or when is she. "

" She's here, in Mystic Falls the when part should be obvious by now."

" She's back when they are human." Damon tried to process this. He knew that the monsters called Mikaelsons were good back then. He knew Elena would feel bad for the stuff she done. She killed one of them and daggerd two. She also tried to kill all of them.

" She will become one of them, unless she stops it, they will all be tuned and she will be part of their family."

" Well I guess you better act quick. You never know she could beginning to let you go without even knowing it." He knew there was only one way that Damon could stop her and that had gave him the biggest smirk. He would get his revenge on the precious Bonnie while getting Elena to hate Damon. That part was just for his own amusement.

" If I even thought about hurting bonnie, mine and Elenas best friend, she would never forgive me. So I could loose her now or let bonnie live her life and then make Elena fall for me all over again."

" Unless, there was a secret story that you've not yet discovered......" looking more confused than usual Damon didn't even have to ask before Kai continued.

" The great witch, who was a bitch may I add, told me a little story about a old Bennett witch named Ayana. When they were created A, as I liked to call her, knew they would bring danger to this world so she done something so she knew that in the future they could find love and have a family. The only thing was that vampires cant ya know procreate so she decided to put a curse on the doppelgangers. Only if the doppelganger was pure that they would be able to save them from their own darkness. If you had to sum it up in a sentence Elena is the trapped beauty and she has to help the three beasts."

" So I'm going to loose her. Even if she loves me. I'm going to be alone. Again." Kai saw tears in Damon eyes but then he suddenly changed. He knew what was happening.

" You turned it off."

" Well done, Einstein" Damon was his old self and he knew there was turning back.

" I think I'm gonna like this Damon better" before he knew it Damon was speeding towards him. He ripped out his heart.

" I like the people I kill, to stay dead. Sorry friend " he smirked and ran off before he realised Kai was healing. Again.
