Zayn
"This is your home baby." I say and cradle the infant in my hands. I walk around showing the small innocent being around the home. The soft snores bring a smile to my face and make me realize I have a family now.
"This is the living room," I say and bounce my arms, standing in the middle of the room looking at the brightly lighted Christmas tree. "In a couple of days you'll be opening your first Christmas gifts." I whisper softly.
"Zayn?" My girlfriend shouts my name. "Annie, shh. The baby is sleeping." I say and smile. "Zayn, where in the world did you get this baby." She runs her hands in her hair in panic. "Don't worry darling. I didn't steal her or anything," I pause and laugh. "She was on our front door step. I woke up and heard her, you wouldn't keep her out in the cold." I say and run my index finger across the baby's cheek.
"Zayn, we can't keep her. We don't have diapers, bottles, a crib, toys.." The list goes on. "Trust me, my mother has it all. I'll go in the morning to get it. It's a bunch of my old things. And after Christmas when the sale starts, we'll start on her nursery." I plan out quickly.
"Are we even ready for a baby. Did you even ask me?" Annie says selfishly. I glare at her quickly. "Annie, we're keeping this baby. Obviously the parents didn't want her." I hold the baby tight and sway back and forth. "Well, what are we going to name her?" She asks and walks over toward the baby and I.
"How about Alyssa?" I suggest and smile. Annie smiles and nods. "Hello, Alyssa." I say and rub my nose against hers. "I'm your daddy." I chuckle. She's mine. All mine.
