The final show before their break had been the day after Michael's date with Calum. Now, a few days later, everyone was finally home resting.
And honestly? Michael couldn't be more bored. It'd only been a day or so since he'd seen his boys (and Ash. Did he need to add them separately? He didn't know; he'd ask them next time they were together.) but he missed them a lot. He was strangely dependant on his band cuddles. On that note, the boy decided to pay Calum a visit, since they hadn't talked too much since their cute little date.
He didn't get dolled up or anything, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't make sure he looked hot as fuck before leaving the house. Even if they wouldn't be doing anything (and Michael obviously wasn't interested) he didn't want to look like the slob they all knew he was. He had a little class.
It didn't take long to get to Calum's, since the younger boy lived just a few streets away. Michael just walked right in, since they all just lived in each others homes anyway. However, what he wasn't expecting was to open the front door to see Calum on the couch. On top of Luke. Passionately making out with him.
In his state of surprise, Michael accidentally let the door swing shut with a loud slam, scaring the half-kiwi so badly that he fell off of Luke and the couch, straight to the floor.
Michael was furious. He wasn't really sure why, but he was, and it must have shown on his face, because Calum scoffed, "You can cuddle with Ashton but I can't make out with Luke? That's a little hypocritical."
Luke, on the other hand looked scared. He was always the brunt of Michael's anger, and even though the older boy had never physically hurt him on purpose, the youngest was worried.
Michael froze. Calum was completely right about what he said. "I... yeah." He just mumbled before turning away and kind of speed walking off to the kitchen, hoping to whatever deity may be up there that he'd find Joy, but knowing Calum wouldn't be making out with Luke on the couch if she was home. Of course, she was not in the kitchen, or the house, so Michael just hid there for a while, giving himself time to think.
Why was he so angry at them? He certainly wasn't jealous of the action, and the thought made him shudder uncomfortably. He didn't have full possession over Calum, and it was certainly unfair to leave Luke out of the weird love triangle that was going on as well. Michael honestly just couldn't figure out why he was feeling this way.
After the anger cooled down he realized he felt most of all betrayed. He trusted Calum, and for whatever reason finding him making out with Luke was a violation of that trust. Maybe if was the fact that Calum had never hinted at wanting anyone other than him? Being demisexual (and possibly demiromantic, Michael wasn't too sure and Calum had yet to clarify) meant that there were few people on earth Calum could really be attracted to, and Michael shouldn't have been surprised that Luke was on the list, especially with how close the whole band was.
After he'd contemplated for just a little too long, and realized how wrong he was in being angry, there was a quiet knock at the kitchen door.
"Mikey?" It was Luke, "Can I come in?"
The red haired boy nodded, before realizing Luke couldn't see him. "Sure." He said, his voice cracking. It was loud enough that the other could hear him.
The door creaked open agonizingly slowly as Luke slowly made his way in. He found Michael curled up under the table, and crawled under with him. Luke's head just barely fit under the table when he was sitting, so he bumped against the underside a few times before settling himself and hesitantly wrapping his arms around Michael.
"I'm sorry Mikey. I didn't mean to make you upset." The younger boy admitted.
Michael nodded, "It's not your fault, I was acting like a baby." He blushed, leaning his head on Luke's shoulder, "Calum can kiss whoever he wants, I don't own him."
The blonde leaned his head on Michael's, "It still bothers you though. You should talk to him about it."
"He's not the one cuddling me under a table." Michael whined, slightly dismayed. He clenched his fists, pulling away slightly from the tall boy.
Luke sighed, disentangling himself from Michael and moving out from under the table, "Do you want me to send him here or do you want to go out there?" He was acting surprisingly mature, considering once Ashton had taken on the position of Band Dad, Luke had decided to take back the place of the baby of the band. He smiled a little at the red haired boy under the table and left.
Michael sat by himself again for some time before he saw Calum's legs enter the kitchen. He let out a quiet, pathetic noise to tell Calum it was okay to join his little pity party.
The half kiwi crawled under the table, escaping Luke's fate of hitting his head. "I'm sorry, kitten." He said quietly, opening his arms to invite the older boy to cuddle.
Michael's blushed at the nickname, "K-kitten?" He asked.
Calum's eyes grew wide as he immediately backpedaled, "If you don't like it I can find something else, I'm-"
The older boy cut him off with a small kiss, "It's fine." He murmured, "I'm sorry. It was out of line for me to be so angry. I just felt... hurt? You never indicated about being into the others and it's okay if you are. I don't even know why I was upset." He scooted into Calum's arms.
"I didn't mean to hurt you. I wasn't sure if you wanted me to say anything or not." He looked a little embarrassed so Mikey nuzzled into his chest.
"I forgive you." He said, looking into Calum's pretty brown eyes, "I kind of feel bad now, leaving Luke out of our weird love triangle thing we have going on."
Calum laughed, "Are we like all a thing now?"
They both paused. Michael looked to the floor, thinking hard, "Maybe we should ask Ash?"
The other nodded, kissing Mikey's head before pulling him out from the table, "Let's go cuddle Luke. I'll give the kangaroo a call when we get settled."
-
They managed to get a whole half an hour of cuddle time in before Ashton came bounding into Calum's living room.
"What's this big band meeting that I didn't plan for?" They asked, flopping down across the cuddling boys instead of just sitting in the space they'd left them.
There was silence for a few moments before Michael quietly said, "We're really confused about this whole thing. The 'dating-kissing-cuddling all of each other' thing."
"Oh," Ashton said, laughing, "I just kind of assumed we were all dating." They sat up, looking at the boys, "If that's okay with you guys?" They all looked at each other and slowly nodded, and a grin formed on Ashton's face, "Now I can call you all my baefriends!"
Calum groaned, "You're the baefriend, we're-well, at least I'm- the boyfriend."
They all knew now, everything would be okay.

Hey guys! Sorry it's been a while! I got really busy and kind of lost my muse for the end of this chapter :S
sO Anyway as always ideas for plot are always welcome bc I'm a scrublord who has no ideas whoo
WE'RE GONNA DO A QUESTION FOR THE CHAPTER NOW YO BC IM COOL
Question: Which video/song did you like better; SLSP or SKH?
My Answer: SKH all the way. When SLSP came out I loved it but SKH stole my heart and honestly I would sell my first acquired child to hear them sing it live in person (I do not plan on ever doing the birth thing, hence acquired, but that's a conversation for another day)
Thanks so much for reading <3 :)
