"What do you want, Y/N?" Shawn asked, as we peered over the large tubs of I scream, which were protected by a shield of glass.

"I don't know...there's so much to choose from!" I whined, earning a low chuckled from Shawn. He draped his arm over my shoulders, kissing the side of my head gently. I giggled. "What about you?"

"Cookie Dough." He replied, not even taking the time to think about his choice. I looked at him with a disgusted look, and he gasped, playfully holding his hand to his heart, pretending to be hurt. "You don't like Cookie dough ice cream?"

"I've never tried it." I shrugged. He furrowed his eyebrows, removing his arm from my shoulders.

"What?!" He exclaimed. I laughed quietly, pushing my hair from my face. "You can't not like something you've never tried!"

"I don't wanna try it." I lowered my voice at the end of my sentence, in attempt to mock Shawn, but failing. He only laughed, bending his knees whining, "you have to try it! Y'know what, you don't have a choice, you're trying mine."

"You'll have to make me."

"Shouldn't be too hard." He said with a sly smirk. I laughed.

"Move up doofus, it's your turn." I smiled, pushing him gently, causing him to 'stumble' forward.

"Okay, I'll have Cookie Dough in a cone." Shawn said before looking at you with a smile.

"Alright, and for the pretty lady?" The guy behind the counter asked, looking at me and smiled.

Shawn glared at the guy slightly, wrapping his arm around my  waist tightly, pulling me closer into his side. "Yeah babe, what do you want?" Shawn asked, emphasizing the word 'babe'. I blushed slightly at his use of the word, for it was only the second time we've gone out together and he's never called me that.

"I'll have the Salted caramel in a cone, please." I said, grabbing Shawn's hand. He looked down at our intertwined fingers, tightening his grin on me.

"Sure thing, gorgeous." He winked, and handed us our ice creams. Normally, if someone were to call me 'gorgeous', I'd be blushing mad, but since this guy was terrible at flirting, and Shawn was the only one on my mind, he had no affect on me.

After we received our ice cream, Shawn took a look at the receipt, and walked back to the counter. "Um, im sorry, but it looks like you only charged us for one cone." He said. The guy looked at me and smiled.

"Nah, the second cone is on me." He smirked, winking at me once again.

"There's no need for that, I can pay for her." Shawn said, a hint of obvious jealousy in his voice.

"It's all good dude."

"No, it's not 'all good', she's my date, I insist on paying for her." Shawn tightened his grip on my hand, and I moved closer into his side, looking down.

"Shawn, just drop it." I mumbled, gently tugging on his shirt.

"Whatever, let's just go." He muttered, pulling me along with him until we reached the door. He frustratedly pushed the door open, a cool evening breeze hitting our faces as we walked. "I could've payed, Y/N."

"Shawn, who cares? He was just being nice." I looked at him, stopping us both on the sidewalk.

"He was hitting on my girl." He said, raising his voice slightly in anger.

"So what?" I shook my head. "You're the one I'm on a date with. You're the one who made me blush. You're the one who makes me nervous every time I see you, Shawn I like you."

He smiled, resting his free hand on my waist. "Can't blame him for hitting on you though,  you're amazing."

"Don't start," I begged, burying my face into his shoulder. He chuckled, pulling you closer to him.

"You're beautiful, funny, adorable...what am I missing? Did I mention beautiful?" He removed his hand from my waist, placing a finger under my chin, forcing me to look up at him. I felt my cheeks warm and my heart flutter. "You're beyond perfect in my eyes, and I'm glad you're mine."

"Thanks Shawn." I mumbled, leaning in and kissing his cheek gently. His cheeks flushed, and I giggled, reaching down and intertwining our finger together as we walked.

"But just an FYI, I'm willing to fight off any creeps that try to come on to you like that." He joked, playfully punching the air with his free hand, pretending to box.

"That's reassuring." I laughed. "Oh, and Shawn?"

"Hmm?"

"Im still not trying your ice cream." I giggled, sticking my tongue out at him.

"Yeah, whatever, I'll just make you try it next time." He winked, swinging our hands between us, licking his ice cream.

Wow, this was soooooo long omg😂

I thought it was kinda cute though, since jealous Shawn is my fave Shawn. Aw.
