The first thing Geode remembered was looking up. For some reason he was laying down, and had no idea why, nor what he was doing, or really what was happening. All he knew was that all his limbs ached, his forehead throbbed, and he felt incredibly weak.

"It appears somethings come out of that experiment."

Geode opened his eyes, but then winced, it seemed like any action hurt, so therefore he just kept his eyes shut, and listened to the conversation around him.

"Is it a Citrine?" another voice asked, this one more high pitched but still possessing a morbid tone of seriousness.

"No, are you blind? It's just a worthless Geode." snapped another gem in reply; this voice was much deeper than the others, but seemed more annoyed than angry.

Geode winced. The mere action of listening seemed to hurt, and a massive headache enveloped him to the point where he just curled up and put his hands on his forehead, his forehead seeming to be the source of it all.

"See, it's weak as a Talc." the deeper voice snapped again, but more hushed, as if not wanting Geode to hear her.

"What do we do, destabilize it?" the higher voiced  gem questioned.

"No, this needs to be studied, we need to know what went wrong if we're ever going to produce a gem with two weapons." the first voice that spoke answered.

"Well this was stupid. A waste of time! Who even came up with the bright idea to make a defense gem have two weapons?"

"To follow orders. This what defense gems are designed for, idot. They follow orders, that's it. And we'll NEED her to follow orders if we're going to get her to produce her weapons for us."

"If she even has two weapons." another gem spat.

"Probably didn't work at all, the thing is probably too weak to even produce one!"

      "We don't know that."

"Well then, lets find out, get up!"

Suddenly Geode felt himself get kicked in the side, but not too hard, the kick seemingly just for the purpose of attempting to get a response out of him. He flinched, but there was no response other than that, Geode himself feeling too weak to even open his eyes, let alone get up.

"Don't kick it, it's obviously too weak!" another gem snapped.

      "Is it the only one?"

"So far yes, though we still have one waiting. Doubt it's what we want though, probably just another Geode like this one. This is just the first experiment on a gem with two weapons though, its bound to be unsuccessful."

"Yeah, i thought defense gems were supposed to be powerful." a gem snapped sarcastically, sounding disappointed.

"All depends on who they're assigned to serve."

Suddenly there was a loud snarl, interrupting the conversations. "Why are all of you WASTING time?! Get it up! If it's a Geode we'll just have to get a Talc to train it!"

      "What, why?"

"Geodes are too weak to have any powers, idiot! They have to be shown how to use their abilities or they're useless, and Talcs train them because they don't have any other purpose!"

      "Well thanks for the lecture!"

      "Just get her up!"

The next thing Geode remembered was being pulled up by his arms to a stand. His eyes immediately widened as he felt another migraine, and was shaking due to the fact that he was using all his strength just to concentrate. He looked around, eyes wild, confused by all of this. After that they tried to get him to walk, but he instead just started to collapse
