Geode's eyes were narrowed as he looked down at the cavern floor. He was bored, and he was tired. Even though it'd been forever since his last training session he was still shaking; the Talc's had started to use their powers on them, therefore it took even more energy and skill just to evade them. Since it'd started he'd found himself having to retreat into his gem more and more often; and it annoyed him. Geode herself though was seeming to have less trouble, and he could tell how annoyed the Talc's were starting to get with him retreating into his gem all the time compared to her.

In all honestly the only good part of his day seemed to be the times when after their training sessions him and Geode would race back to the cavern, having to in order to avoid Malachite and the other gems, and then sit and just talk; talk about what she knew. He'd actually managed to learn tons from her, stuff he'd of never known any other way; and even though he never showed it he'd actually grown quite fond of her being around. But, even with her telling him everything she knew, he was still riddled with a  feeling of inadequacy, and felt himself constantly comparing himself to her; and how he came up short every time.

I'm never good enough. Geode bore his teeth before letting out an inward sigh, crossing his arms and putting his head in them. He stayed like that for what seemed like hours, still trying to get some of his energy back; even though none of his efforts seemed to be working. For, each bit of energy he got back he spent on his thoughts. He also cringed with the knowledge that in no time Talc would be back over here again, making him go to another training session.

      "Geode?"

Oh great. Speak of the devil. He lifted his head, his teeth bared, ready to see Talc and have a complete argument about her about how she should leave him alone, followed with telling her she should piss off and that he wasn't going to do anything today; until he saw Geode.

"What do you want?" he spat, his eyebrow raised and teeth bared.

"The Talc's want us to come to training- they said they're trying something new today." she muttered, seeming like she wasn't looking forward to it at all either, and like him still seemed weak from the last session.

"Oh great!" Geode rolled his eyes, lifting his chin indignantly. "What are they gonna make us do this time!?" he bore his teeth and got up, glaring at her, full of rage. "They sent you here because they're too scared to get yelled at?!" he spat, finally just pushing past her and exiting the cavern.

She halfheartedly watched him leave the cavern and followed. They walked on in silence, as they normally did as opposed to running; not having to worry about the other gems following them on their way to training as opposed to when they came back from it. For, gems could actually get in big trouble if they were to interfere with the training of a Geode. This was something he'd learned from Geode herself when yelling at her in complaints about how they always bothered them when they came back from training, and not when they were actually on their way to it.

"I-i'm not sure; my Talc just told me that she was heading to training and told me to come get you on my way there."

"Sure sounds like it." he spat, rolling his eyes. "I mean are you STUPID!? You could have actually been able to get us to get out of training today! Whats your PROBLEM!?

"I-I don't t-think that's likely-" she shook her head "-like i said, she said we were going to do something different today, it sounded important." she looked nervously towards him.
