I saw what I wanted to see, a little dachshund... that meant that Penny was nearby. A sense of panic was dropped upon me when I saw Penny step outside. I knew what I had to do and say, but I didn't know how she would react. Either way, now was the perfect opportunity. I have to seize it, right now.
"Penny? Penny, wait!" I called. She looked up; stared for a while then smiled. This made me feel more relaxed, and smiled back. Her smile was beautiful, she was beautiful... Her eyes were shimmering in the sun and her hair was radiating an indescribable warmth. Gloria noticed that Nova was outside and bounded over to her, I jogged after her. The two dogs welcomed each other and played by Penny's side.
"Hey..." I said Oh Lord, I'm pathetic "listen, I have something to ask you". It's more than likely that I scared the girl, she answered "Yeah...?" She seemed nervous. "Well, penny... I-I really like you..." I said timidly "...you're amazingly beautiful, so intelligent and just... delightful!" at first Penny looked dazed, but she soon carried on smiling. "So, I suppose, what I'm trying to say is..." I smiled ""...will you do me the honour of being my date to prom"
Penny gasped, lightly. She looked at her feet, there was, what seemed to be, an everlasting pause. "Henry! I will!" I was overjoyed, it seemed she was too. Penny hugged me it was the perfect. We seemed to melt into each other; she rested her head on my chest, I closed my eyes all noise was hushed. I held her in my arms; the weight of my crush was lifted, instantaneously.
