'The next nine days will be fun, you can do this,' I silently speak over and over again, perhaps trying to convince myself to believe this obvious lie.
During these next nine days my brother,my mom, Ari, and me (along with the small army of Ari's team) will be attending press conferences, interviews, television shows, all regarding my sisters upcoming Worldwide Stadium Tour.
Don't get the wrong impression though, I could not be more over the moon and proud that all the hard work
and dedication Ari puts in to every single thing she does has finally paid off. She deserves this more than anyone I know. However, I'm just not particularly excited about driving, flying, rushing, looking presentable everywhere I go,getting bombarded by paparazzi, sleeping in a different hotel every night, irrelevant bickering due to being in such close proximity with my family, meeting way too many new faces to even remember, being in uncomfortable clothes all day long and finally I am most definitely not looking forward to having awkward fucking conversations with everything that has a heartbeat or a pulse.
After a stressful three hours of selecting appropriate outfits, jewellery, and makeup looks for nine days I had only one task left to complete. To close the two bulging suitcases that I had filled to full capacity. I tried multiple methods but settled on the good old fashioned 'sitontopofthesuitcaseandhopethatyoudontbreakanything'.
The gruelling core exercise had worn me out so I headed to the kitchen for a glass of water. I reached to the top shelf of the cupboard that held the glasses, this was a challenging task at hand for a merely five foot girl. I had finally grasped a hold of my desired glass when a set of small hands reached up and grasped by boobs. I immediately shot around to see who was responsible for the action and in process smashed the glass all over the kitchen. 'Ariana what the hell are you doing!?' I spat, as soon as I recognised who had touched me. She stood there dumbfounded and completely shocked at my sudden outburst, 'I..I..thought it would be..well..funny if I scared you..' She started, 'I didn't mean to..to..scare you that much..I' I cut her off at that with a roar of laughter. 'Oh my God no you just caught me off guard,' I was in a complete laughing hysteria. She looked so genuinely concerned and sorry about what had happened. I wasn't mad at all that was the hilarious part, she just scared the absolute crap out of me. Her knitted eyebrows immediately returned to their natural position and a silly smile spread across her face realising I had just overreacted in the heat of the moment. We stood laughing for the next few minutes before finally calming down.
'Have you packed yet Lys?' My sister asks as she shoves what seems like fifteen gummy bears in her mouth still smiling. I reply with a nod and offer my help to finish packing her bag, soon realising that we were both already done.
'Lets do something it's only 11am and I'm already bored out of my mind,' I propose. We quickly agree that we want to go somewhere but have no idea where to go without being harassed. On top of that the Florida sky is covered with thick rain clouds. A rainy day often becomes monotonous. People see rain and want to stay indoors safe from the winds . Me, however, I see an opportunity for adventure.
I dart down the hallway towards my bedroom and quickly dress in appropriate clothing for the adventure we were about to have. After conscious thought I finally settle on wearing some black yoga pants, an old hoodie and my pastel pink Wellington Boots. I re wash my face and teeth and apply a little concealer, bronzer, mascara, and of course my eyebrows. (A\N sorry velvetheart13 I stole your line;)
After I am content with how I look I rummage through my closet to find my little pastel raincoat that matches my rain boots.I walk out of my room crossing paths with Ari noticing we are literally wearing the same outfit. The only difference was her matching rain boots and raincoat were pastel blue. (Mine being pastel pink.) Total twin moment. It didn't bother me at all, I mean it's kind of funny. We're not the type of sisters that make each other change if our outfits are too similar. It all adds to the charm I suppose.

After driving for around 20 minutes whilst the rain was pouring down, we arrived at a Forrest dirt track we used to come to as kids.
So many memories I hold belong to this wonderful place. Hazy July afternoons spent swinging from one side of the river to the other without a care in the world. Autumn mornings spent playing in the freshly fallen leaves. I had been here every season and at every time of day/night as a child but never had I been here during torrential rainfall. I was so ready for an adventure. We hopped out of the car and ran straight for the start of the trail. I love the feeling of running against the rain. Feeling each raindrop come into to cool contact with exposed skin. The sound of rain boots slushing in the muddy puddles. The powerful smell of outside being further brought to life by the rain. Grass, trees, and flowers scent are emphasised making the air smell welcoming and refreshing. The outdoors always provides great solitude and time for thinking. There's something about the ambiance that instantly clears your mind from whatever or whoever may be invading your thoughts.

We reach the angry river, swollen and rushing with rage. The extreme rainfall has caused the river to rise and overflow it's banks but Ari and I are still up for crossing it on the rope swing. I go first, I place my hands around the rough rope, slightly sitting on a large knot for more support. I position myself on the river bank and kick off.The exhilarating feeling of adrenaline rushing through your veins as you try something that could end in tragedy but you take the risk anyway. When both of my feet shakily hit the other side of the bank, I lunged myself forwards to further ensure my safety.
Ariana followed suit, loosing her balance and stumbling backward towards the raging current as her feet came into contact with the other side of the riverbank. I quickly reacted reaching forward grabbing her by the waist towards flatter ground. Ari lost her footing for a split second. She could have been swallowed by a hungry river that would have no mercy.
Thudding footsteps that I didn't realise I was hearing came to a halt behind me. I turned my head slightly to look behind me, still having a tight grip on my shaken up sister. 'I don't know if I'm concerned or slightly turned on right now,' that all too familiar British accent remarked. 'Just come over here and help dickhead,' I retaliated. Taken aback by my words Harry stepped towards me and guided us up the hill. 'Hey listen, kill a guy for liking some sister on sister action,' he smirked causing that devilish dimple to make an appearance. I was in no mood for this. 'You're sick Harry, just help me take her back to my car.' I brush my sisters wet and tatty hair away from her face suddenly becoming wary of my own appearance. How come each time this boy shows up I look homeless.
'Why are you out here in the rain anyway Harry?' I question. 'I could ask you the same Alyssa or is it Ariana?' He remarks referring to the humiliating day in Starbucks. My face becomes heated I was beetroot red. He notices my sudden discomfort and playfully nudges me slightly easing my embarrassment.
-
We eventually reached the car after an awkwardly silent walk. I was freezing, surely developing a cold. Great. Together Harry and I placed Ariana in the back of my car laying her down across the seats. I jumped into the drivers side of the car and quickly shouted 'Thanks for helping me take her to the car Harry,' quickly shutting the door and starting the car to avoid any further conversation with Harry.-
As I reached a small village I stepped out of the car once again, crossing the road into a local coffee shop where I ordered warm drinks for each of us. Once I had finished paying I greeted my sister with the kind gesture back in the car. Before heading back home I needed to text my mom concerning our whereabouts. I quickly sent a text and locked my phone only for my screen to almost immediately light up again. It was a text. From Harry.Harry: I have your pretty pastel raincoat. Want it back? Come have coffee with me tomorrow morning at bolt coffee house. H x
