Prologue

P.O.V.: Nova
SMASH pieces of glass goes everywhere I back up into the corner "HELP" I screamed "SHUT UP" my mother or should I say stepmother before I could respond she hits me right at the jaw. She picks me up by my shirt and yells "IM LOSING ALL THE MONEY 'CAUSE OFF YOU!" she throws me at the wall I whimpered in pain she starts kicking me hard at my gut.Black  dots dance around my vision suddenly my Dad comes in and starts yelling at Samantha then everything goes black
*flashBack*
Sam is there drinking a beer on the counter top next to a least a dozen empty bottles near her she's been drinking  and gambling lately before all this she's been nice like she bought gifts and played checkers with me when she didn't have to work  but now she seems like a whole new person. Dad always at work 24/7 at a candy shop so basically I'm alone..Samantha has comes up and starts yelling at me but all her voice is blared out then I blackout again.
*Flashback over*

I wake up on my bed other known as a old gray inflatable bed "Sweetie are you alright?" My dad says 'oh I just got thrown across and blacked out other than that I'm just fine and dandy'I thought."yeah I'm okay" I croaked "good,let's go" "where?" I asked "I'll tell you later lets just go" He sounded like he was in a hurry I listened and got up and followed him out the door.

"Oh,Hello Rob what are you doing here?" A women said "we need to talk Sally please " Dad begs "of course come on in let me go get Percy" she said and rushed inside. The women or ahem Sally had beautiful brown locks and sparkling blue eyes that never seemed stay the same color. Dad walks in to the kitchen I look into the doorway and and it smells of alcohol and sweaty socks.To my right I see four men sitting around a coffee table playing cards,to my right I see a small kitchen before I could inspect anymore my dad calls out "Honey, are you coming?" "Yeah Coming!" I respond I walk in close the door and head for the kitchen.

"Nova this is Percy,Percy this is Nova" Sally explains I look at a boy about the same age at me 7,he has Sparkling sea green eyes ant raven black hair he is wearing a t shirt and blue jeans "Hi,My name is Percy what's your name?" He asks "Hmm?.. Oh my name is Nova Sterling (A/N sorry for the cheesy name ) . I think we are going to be good friends " I smirk. "Only if you like blue cookies" he argues "purple is better" I shoot back "try some" Percy jesters to follow him
I can tell we are going to be fast friends.
