Foolish heart

I met a stranger

Who made me smile.

I, being weak

Walked with him miles.

He said it was true

And I believed him

He said he was here

To lighten up the dim.

He was broken himself

But helped me to

Fix my heart

And preserve it too.

My foolish heart

Believed it was true.

He would stay with me

And I promised I'll do.

My foolish heart

Didn't know the fact

That he was just a stranger

And I did a foolish act.

I gave a piece of my heart

For him to preserve

Little did I know

That he didn't deserve.

And then it happened

He left me just like

Someone abandons

The one who is about to die.

But my brain said

It's all your fault

Letting in someone

In just one call.

My foolish heart

Was broken again

But I know that

I'll still do the same.
