They had been walking for awhile now. How long, Chloe couldn't quite be sure, but it felt like a long time. Max was walking a little ahead of her, leading them to the place her little Gang was. Max had been odly quiet, and whenever Chloe looked over at the brunette girl, she seemed to be lost in thought, her deep brown eyes thoughtful and distant. Chloe went against her instincts to blab away, not wanting to break the other girl's concentration. Chloe wasn't used to keeping her mouth shut, though, and had to keep latching herself before she could spew out a sentence. It was difficult, but Chloe was doing better than she thought she would have.

After a few more minutes, Max's soft voice suddenly spoke up. "We're almost there," was all she said. Not wanting to let the opportunity pass her by, Chloe hurried to respond.

"To where your friends are." It wasn't a question, it was a statement. And she could practically feel Max nod ahead of her.

"Yep." Max said shortly. Chloe had to bite back a huff. God, this Max chick sure was quiet.

"And where are we going exactly?" Chloe asked, a little more sharply than she had meant to. Max seemed unfazed, and answered, as cryptic as ever.

"You'll see..." Max said. Chloe fought the urge to roll her eyes. Couldn't Max see that she was trying to start a conversation? Though, why Chloe was even bothering after all this was beyond her.

"But--" Chloe started to say but was cut off by Max abruptly stopping. Chloe had to dig her feet into the dirt and stop walking immediate so that she didn't bump into Max's back. Chloe leaned forward slightly before she leaned back and managed to regain her balance. She brushed her dirty blonde hair out of her face quickly. Max suddenly turned her head to the left. After what appeared to be a good long look, she turned on her heels and started walking in that direction.

"This is it. It's right up ahead." Max said, already maxing her way down the slightly faded and much less noticeable slim dirt trail, leaving a slightly dazed Chloe behind her before she managed to shake herslef out of it and sped up slightly to keep up with Max, who had gotten way ahead of her due to her mental malfunction.

And, sure enough, after they had been walking the trail for a few minutes, Chloe could begin to see the small glow of a campfire in the distance. As they drew slightly nearer, she heard laughing and occasional slight shrieking. They continued walking and reached the little campsite a few minutes later. Chloe took in the scene in front of her.

There were a few small and worn wooden stools placed precariously around the fire, near enough to feel the warmth but not too close that it could catch fire. A small light wooden table was placed behind the fire and chairs and slightly off to the side. It was filled with various things. Milk glasses, water poutches, various forms of cooked meats (that smelled really fucking good to Chloe), apples, and other forms of deliciousness. There were small yet spacious looking dark purple silken tents with gold detailing around the opening of the tents. A large rock Boulder nearby held various glass vials of ground herbs and other ingredients that Chloe couldn't immediately identify, but they sure looked questionable.

'What the fuck are they using those for?' Chloe wondered, but before she could reflect on the items anymore she saw a girl skip over to them. A very pretty girl, too.

She wasn't short, but she wasn't tall either. She was slim, though. She had long, slender arms and slim yet fit looking legs that were framed with fitted and ripped black trousers. A somewhat tight red tank top covered her top half, with a thick black vest over it. Taking a closer look at the best, Chloe noticed that it had small pockets and holders which held slim yet deadly looking knives and daggers, along with various bikes filled with odd and bright colors. Chloe felt her stomach squirm slightly and she looked away, deciding to focus on the girl's face instead. She had prominent cheekbones. A slightly long yet very slim button-looking nose. Sun-kissed skin. Long  blonde hair that was unarguably a prettier shade than Chloe's dirty, dishwater-y color. Cat-shaped hazel eyes. Light pink lips. Man.
