after about 30 more minutes of talking with hayes, he brought up football. i sighed as he went on. it was honestly getting boring. "uh- so, how long will we be in chicago next week?" i asked. still on the topic of football. "all weekend. are you excited?" he giggled. i nodded.

one week later

we all loaded in the large bus and i yelped with excitement. "finally!" some guys called out. it was our first game, and we'd be in chigago for a weekend.

i sat down in the chair next to the window, hayes sat beside me. "im excited," he laughed, nervously. "who's not?" i asked, bouncing up and down. "im going to be knocked out this whole ride." i laughed.

after texting my mom goodbye once more, i gently dozed off against the window. living in north carolina, it'll take a good day to get to chicago, so when i woke up, we were still on the road.

hayes smiled gently when i looked at him. "we took a stop about an hour ago, i got you some dr. pepper and gummy worms." i smiled and thanked him, taking my favorite pop and candy from the bag he handed me. i snacked on the food, scrolling through my instagram. i had gained over 300,000 followers, what? i looked through my feed. it was nash grier, and hayes' big brother. he posting a picture of hayes and i from the waterpark with the caption "good luck, lovers" and tagged us both. nash was a famous viner and had over 2 million followers.

i laughed and liked the photo. i looked at some of the comments new followers left.
