The air conditioner is really cold and freezing and I was shivering,I tried to look around for the remote but I could not find it, tying hard to open my eyes I took out my mobile ad check out the time and it is 6am ,I smile widely because there is still like an hour more to sleep and nothing bet the extra hour of sleep .I look around for Amy but she was sitting at my study desk doing her revision.
“Awake?” .
“Uhm yeah still sleepy .Can you help me to look around for air conditioner remote?” I asked her in my sleepy voice.
“You don’t have to wake up, you are having fever my dear. I just switch off the air conditioner “Amy replied .
Then I realized there was a wet towel around my neck and cool fever plaster stick on my head. At last, today I don’t have to go to school? Sweet!
“Amy do me a favor? Please help me to pass the letter to Ron, it’s inside my blue bag “I told her when I recall the letter I wrote for him.
“A letter? What ?why? She asked me curiously.
“Hmm it’s a long story actually…and I don’t have mood to talk about it” I told her and cover my face with blanket so that I won’t end up crying.
Amy walk to my bed and sat beside me..
“Sweet heart, are you okay?” she asked me in a worried voice.
“Yes I am “I told her holding my tears.
“Come on don’t lie okay? I know something wrong..tell me now”
“Nothing ,I am okay “ I lied to her again and pretended to be okay.
“Okay then fine” she walked away in disappointment and I really wish I can tell everything to her and hug her but..
I took away the blanket from my face and called her name. She turns around and asked
“What? It’s okay” she said and sulked.
“I just want to be Ron’s friend, NOTHING MORE “I told her holding my breath.
“W-h-a-t?” she asked me in with her mouth and eyes opened like fish.
“Yeah,I want to achieve my dream first like what dad said” I told her and acted like I am completely okay.
“What your dad said? And tell me did you just accept Ron as your friend?
I burst into tears and told her everything and include my heart breaking decision, Amy just gave me a bear hug.
“Like what I said we will face everything together so yeah I am here for you okay?” she told me to encourage me.
“Good morning sweet hearts “my brother walked in my room while tying his neck tie.
“Shirley, are you okay?” he asked when he look at my pale face with a worried voice.
“Y eah, I am just tired “ I told him pretended to be okay but I guess it was so obvious that I am sick so Calvin pinched my nose and said ”You sucks in lying so better don’t” and I just smiled innocently.
“Okay eat your breakfast and get ready, I’ll bring you to clinic” he ordered me.
“Naa, it’s alright I just need to take some rest and eat medicine “I told him as I am really scared to go clinic because of injection .Every time , the doctor gave me an injection, I will definitely faint.
“Okay then you rest first, I will try to come back from work early and fetch Amy from college okay?”
“Yeah “ I nodded my head and smiled at Calvin and gave Amy a look ask her not to forget to pass the letter and she close and open her eyes slowly .The awkward moment is when you give your best friend a certain look and they will understand ,am I right?
