Jane's POV

I sigh frustratedly, running my hands down my face as I slump over my desk, Maura left an hour ago but i'm still here slumming it out with Korsak and Frost.  "Ok, we need to crack her alibi" I say, standing up and walking over to the white board by Korsak's desk. I hear boots clomping towards us and I turn to see Casey walking towards me. "Crap, I forgot to call you" I say apologetically. He smiles softly and stops in front of me.
"It's ok, I figured when you weren't home you'd be here or at Maura's but her house is empty" Weird, she left an hour ago she should be home. Jack.

"No she's probably with her boyfriend" I say as I turn back to the board.

"Please tell me he's not going to try kill her or end up dead the next morning" Frost says walking back into the room with a coffee in his hands.

"I don't think he'll kill her after this long, and I hope he doesn't end up dead, she seems to really like this one" I breath out getting annoyed at this case. Every suspect has a solid alibi. I have a gut feeling that it's the victims girlfriends sister but her alibi is so solid. Too solid. "I've got it, I knew there was something weird about her alibi. I was at that stupid bonfire with Maura. She purposely made that video. Frost pull it up" We watch it silently and half way through the time jumps. "Stop right there"  Frost pauses it, "Now go back two seconds" He does as I instruct. "Look at the time and then press play watching it" We watch it again and Korsak stands up.

"Where was she in that hour?"

"Maybe she just stopped videoing and had a break?" Casey suggests.

"No her sister told me she told her to video the whole night so she could show Daniel because he couldn't make it. And she said she recorded everything. We've got her" I grab my jacket and stop in front of Casey. "Wait here for me and we'll grab dinner when I get back" He nods and I kiss him quickly before following the guys out.

Maura's POV

I finish curling my hair and smile at my reflection in my body length mirror. Jack had text me five minutes ago saying he was nearly here and now my nerves are settling in. I don't know why i'm nervous, we've been on a date before and I've meet his daughter on many occaisions. There's a knock on my front door and I grab my hand bag, leaving my room and walking down the hall. I stop at the door and take a deep breath in and blow it out before opening the door with a massive smile on my face.

"Hi Beautiful" Jack says causing me to blush.

"Hey yourself" I say, walking out side, pulling the door with me.

"Ready to go?" I nod before he quickly kisses me. He leads me over to the passenger side of his car and opens the door for me, waiting for me to get in the car before shutting my door.

"Thank you" I say as I get in. He moves around the car as Allie starts talking to me about her science project she's working on for school and his hand finds mine as I give her a few ideas on how to improve it, smiling at Jack from time to time. Allie and I hit it off right from the start, she's a bright girl and has her dads eyes and smile. Jack pulls into the restaurant and parks the car, rushing around to my side and opening my door for me. I kiss his cheek as I murmur "Such a gentleman" in his ear. His hand finds mine again as Allie cimbs out of the car, straightening her dress.

"Wow Maura, you look amazing" Allie exclaims. I blush and smile.

"So do you Allie, I see you convinced your dad into letting you wear make up"

"Don't even go there" Jack groans causing me to giggle.

"Your daughter is beautiful, leave her alone" I tell him as we walk into the restaurant hand in hand.

"Can we get a booth dad? please"

"You just don't want to be seen with us" Jack feigns mock hurt and Allie rolls her eyes at him.
"No, I don't want to be seen with you" She teases him, laughing.

"Someone doesn't want to stay at Chloe's"

"No I do" She says instantly. "I'm sorry daddy, I love you" She greases up to him and I giggle before Jack gets us a booth. He pulls me along behind him as I talk with Allie again. She slides in one side and Jack holds his hand out, letting me slide in first. He slides in beside me and leans close to my face.

"She's right though, you look stunning Maura, like always"
"And you look handsome" I reply before he pulls away. Jack and I engage in a conversation and Allie soon joins in. By the time our food arrives we are all laughing and having a good time. We end up on the topic of science again as we leave the restaurant after our meal.

Jane's POV

I walk up to Casey, sitting at my desk, and smile tiredly, we finally caught Talia and Korsak is taking her down to the cells where we're gonna keep her over night so we can all go home. He smiles up at me and stands up.

"We can do dinner another night Janie, I know you're tired" He says softly and I feel like saying ok but I made him wait so the least I can do is have dinner with him. He's still waiting on my answer to his proposal from earlier too, but this is a big decision and I need my best friends in put first.

"How about you come back to mine and we order pizza" I say as Korsak comes in and grabs his keys off his desk.

"Go home Jane" He says, turning his computer off.

"I'm going old man" I tease him and he walks out waving.
"Lets go Jane" Casey says, my hand slipping into his. I love Casey but he always chooses work over me, will he still do that if we decide to have a family? I sigh softly, following him onto the elevator.
