Losing Her Faith

Chapter One

I woke up hearing my Azan alarm clock. I heard my mother shouting to me"Aliyah hurry up your bus is coming in thirty minutes!". I dashed out of bed to brush my teeth,wash my face and then throw on my abaya and wear my scarf,and finally grab my backpack.I went downstairs."Assalamualaikum mama" I said  to my mother."Waalaikumassalam"she replied. My older brother and younger sister had already left to school.I drank  a glass of milk are an apple and shouted a"Allah hafiz"to my mother. Luckily I made it to the bus just on time.I sat down on one of the back seats and ignored the stupid comments the boys said to mean out my scarf and niqab. When we reached to school I saw my best friend Aminah. "Assalamualaikum"I said to her and smiled."Waalaikumassalam"she said and smiled back."Ugh,I barely got any sleep last night"Aminah said."Why?" I asked her,as we pushed our way through the horde of students to get to English,the first subject of the day." I had such a hard time finishing Math homework" she said.Math was not exactly Aminah's favorite subject."You should do math first then the other subjects"I told her."No way I always save the horrible thing for the last."I laughed and walked into class,after that we kept our mouths shut blc of our English teacher,Mrs.Redremiez she was so strict that if you want to even passed a note to somebody somehow she'd she the person,then she would walk up to him or her,snatch the note and tell them they had a three day detention.Finally after the English class came History,Biology,Lunch,Math,and finally the favorite class of the day,Art. Today we painted and then it was time to go home. I grinned at the thought of going home on the way out I saw Aminah and she asked me if I wanted to go to the mall with her gift shopping with her for her family."Let me ask my mom otherwise she's going to freak out"I told Aminah. She laughed and said to go ahead.I called my mom and she said ok but be home by 8:00."'Kay mom,Allah hafiz."Allah hafiz"she replied."Ok my mom said that's fine" I told Aminah." Whoo hoo!!"She screamed."Calm it down I told her.
