Hello everyone! Kuya Gelo here.

First of all, I want to sincerely thank all of you for the continuous support and love you've shown for this story. I've gone through numerous edits and revisions over the years. I even revamped the entire story at one point just to make sure it no longer felt cringe to me and so I could continue writing it more comfortably.

As most of you know, this story has been published for almost, if not more than 10 years now. It's honestly funny to think that after all those years, only about 40% of the full story has been released. I also know that some of you were disappointed when the story was left hanging for long periods of time. And when I finally came back, adult life ended up becoming the next challenge.

But for now, I genuinely enjoy writing again. I'll be honest, the story is already almost complete. However, I still re-edit every chapter before posting it, which is why I usually upload only one or two chapters per week, and sometimes it may take a month between updates.

I hope you'll continue enjoying the story and patiently waiting for the updates, even though I can't promise a fixed schedule for uploads.

Please continue voting on every chapter, and don't be afraid to leave comments or banter in the comment section. It really helps the story a lot.

THE COVER

Ever since I decided to do a complete revision of the entire story, I've always thought about changing the title of the book. However, when I asked some of my readers—especially those I've become close with because I try to reply on my X (Twitter) whenever I can—most of them said they didn't want the story to have a different name.

Because of that, I decided to keep the original title.

Instead of changing it completely, I added a subtitle to give the story a fresh feel while still keeping the name that many of you have known and loved for years.

So from "Kuya (BoyXBoy)", I'd like you all to welcome the new title:

"Kuya: Forbidden Desires."

I hope you enjoy the new look and title of our story just as much as I enjoyed working on it.

I'd also like to thank everyone who continues to message me and check on my well-being. I truly appreciate those who reached out and showed concern, especially since I wasn't very private about moving to the Middle East to pursue my career and work.

I want you all to know that I'm doing okay. I'm safe and adjusting well here.

THE STORY

Many of you have been asking a lot of questions about the story. How many chapters it will have, who the endgame will be, and how a story like this will eventually end. Some of you have also asked if this was inspired by real-life experiences or if the characters are based on people I know.

To answer those questions: so far, I've uploaded about half of what I've already written. Around 40% of the story is still waiting to be edited and published, while the remaining 20%, which includes the final chapters and the epilogue, has not been written yet.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure yet how I'll properly close the story. Part of it is because I still want to find the right ending that feels satisfying and true to the journey of the characters. And another part is simply because adult life has been keeping me busy, so I haven't had much time to sit down, think deeply about it, and write.

But one thing I can promise is that I will continue working on it whenever I can. Thank you for being patient with me and for continuing to support the story despite the slow updates.

UPCOMING STORIES

Sadly, for now, I don't have any plans to publish a different book.

If you're an OG reader, you probably remember that this account originally had three stories published: Kuya, Nahipo, and Daddy. However, I no longer plan on bringing back the other stories. For now, "Kuya" will be the only one I'll continue working on and updating.

To be honest, when I had already written around 80% of Kuya, I actually started writing another MLM romance story. It's still in my archive, and it's already properly written with around 10 chapters completed.

However, I decided to stop continuing it because I don't want to publish a new story unless Kuya is fully finished first. I want to give my full focus and commitment to completing this story before starting or releasing another one.
