He's here.
And his face is so close to my face.
Oh, so, close.
His body pressed to mine.
His hands are holding my face.
His scorching green eyes blazing through mine.
His lips
inches away
centimeters away
I closed my eyes, preparing for the kiss.
I groaned when I felt weight on my legs.
"Alex! God, it's 12:30 already. Wake up." Finn said.
While hitting me with a pillow so soft I couldn't even feel it. And I realized, the worst thing than being woken up from a good dream is that realizing that It was only a dream.
"Ugh, stop that." I complained as I moved to be more comfortable in my bed that clearly doesn't want me to go.
"Wake up."
And he started tickling me.
"HAHAHA! Stop! I'm awake!" I yelled as I sat up. So long, soft bed.
"About time"
"Make me a sandwich, I'm hungry." I ordered as I crossed my arms.
"It's weird; you should be the one who's making me a sandwich. Not the other way around."
"Well, you're the one who woke me up. I call this quits"
I fixed my very soft and loving bed, took a fast shower, and wore blue shorts and a black t-shirt.
"Hey Finn!" I shouted so he can hear me.
"Yeah?"
"I'm inviting Jen so make more sandwiches!"
This is my revenge for separating me from my bed.
"Yea. Okay."
I took out my phone, scrolled through the numbers and called Jen.
It rung for 30 seconds then she answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey Jen wanna come over and eat?"
"Sure, be there in 10."
The sandwiches were served when Jen arrived. The smell of spam spread throughout the house.
"Hey Jenny." Finn greeted while giving her a hug.
"Hi Jen, time to eat!"
After lunch, Finn explained the concert party and why we needed to go there. He told us about the bands that came from other countries and that it's money-wise because we'll get to see 10 or more bands at one concert.
"Guys, this is going to be like the coolest party of the year!" Finn said, trying his best to make us join.
Jen and I looked at each other and nodded our heads.
"I'm in-"
"Nope, sorry-"
We said contemporaneously.
Finn laughed. "Alex, c'mon. You're the only one who's saying no. And I think majority wins." He smirked.
"I won't be able to pay you back."
"Why?"
I inhaled. This is not embarrassing Alex. This is not embarrassing. I reminded myself. "Because I'm buying s-stocks." I stammered. Damn it.
"You're doing what now?"
"I buy stocks."
"Wow you're such a nerd." Finn said. He smiled to himself and laughed.
Jen laughed. "I can't believe the vice president of book club is saying this." She said, shaking her head.
"Why are you guys laughing? You're all in book club. And besides, nothing's wrong about buying stocks. So what if I want an early retirement? Or if I want to be rich at a young age?" I felt like defending myself. While feeling the softness of the leather couch. Oh Zeus I'm sleepy again.
"Alex, you are rich. And besides, I'm not a nerd.
I put the word club in book club."
Finn is really corny most of the time.
"And I put the unf in unfortunate cause I'm not coming."
And I'm not saying that I'm not.
"Fine, you don't need to pay me back. Sounds good?"
I smiled, as I was thinking that I won. "Agreed."
I so close to sleeping when Jen started crying.
We were dumbfounded by her sudden emotion and we tried our best to comfort her. I asked her why she was crying and Finn asked if she needed water.
"I'm alright. Sorry."
"And I'll ask again, why?"
"It's just, Drake."
"You and your boyfriend are fighting again?" I asked. This was probably the fifth time she cried about her boyfriend. And Finn and I aren't really fond of him either.
"It's. . . complicated."
"Don't give us those 'It's complicated' bullshit, Jen." Finn seriously stated. Crossing his arms as his eyebrows furrowed.
"I-I don't k-know." Jen sobbed.
"Just, try to explain, okay?" I urged her to explain more, so that we could comfort her better by saying the right words. Because you shouldn't start blabbering stuff about people when you don't really know what happened.
"It's just that, one minute he says he loves me then the other minute he ignores me. And one day he says that he'll do everything for me but then he neglects me. I'm just really getting tired of his shit but I can't seem to let him go."
I heard Finn take a sharp intake of air and answered almost immediately. "You know what you should do? Follow your brain. Your heart is stupid as shit." He said, looking straight into Jen's eyes.
"Holy shit. Did you just give a love advice?" I asked. Completely flabbergasted.
"Ew, Zeus no. I just saw that on 9gag. Didn't you notice me being prepared and all?" He reasoned, suddenly finding interest on our stove.
"Yeah right. Make excuses all you want but I think that you gave a love advice." Jen said, finally smiling.
And it felt good that we made her smile.
They left at six and I remembered my assignment in Math.
I just love math. I was smiling when I was looking for my notebook and pad paper. I prepared my table and started answering the questions. And I had re-written the answers on another paper for Finn.
Our deal, remember?
I was fixing my stuff when Jen texted me.
Jen Ellis:
Hey, guess what. The new student will start tomorrow. I'm excited to see what he looks like. ;)
Alex Miller:
HEY. You have a boyfriend. Haha.
Jen Ellis:
Not anymore. I broke up with him. :)
Oh no. Oh Zeus no. Finn is going to be dead.
