Chapter 11: The Animal Master

It was a lonely day. Isabel was alone, on the couch, listening to some music. Suddenly, the signal got cut off. None of the electric items were working in her room. A glitter of sparks fell in from the window, then, it exploded into a burst of Pink, Purple and Blue. Then, on the ground laid an egg.
Curiosity got the better of Isabel. She headed towards the egg. Being her usually carefree person she is, she tapped on the egg.
It cracked.
Shocked to see that, she headed backwards. After the egg collapsed, in it was a sleeping dragon. Coming out of its shell, a sound was there. "Mama." Isabel heard. Even though the dragons mouth wasn't opened, she knew it was it. She just had a hunch. To think the matter could get any worse, she heard a knock on the door.
Scared and worried. She swirled her head around, trying to look for something to hide the dragon with. Lastly, she saw a towel and covered it over the dragon before putting it on her bed.
"Come in!" She said.
Opening the door, her mom was there.
"Do you want eggs for dinner?"
"Sure!" She said even though she though, "Eggs?! Seriously?! Of all things!"
As her mom headed out, she walked over to the dragon. Just as she was about to uncover it, The room turned into galaxy and soon enough, she was in Sumi's Lair. Sumi was on her throne. Beside her was Jing.
"Welcome. This is Jing, my sister."
"Uhhhh."
"Hi! I am Jing. The goddess of time!"
"Ummmm...."
"Nevermind." Sumi said."As you might know, you received a dragon."
"Uh huh...."
"That's your first task as an Animal Master to take care of it."
"Whaaaatttt?" Isabel said as her jaw nearly dropped.
"You have to take care of it and no one is allowed to see it."
"But.....I don't wanna be an Animal Master!!!!!!"
Jing began speaking.
"Before you continue whining. You should see something. " The lair turned into a sand dune and all was black.
Opening her eyes, Isabel laid on a carpet. She was in the room. She felt familiar with this room for some odd reason and felt like she came there before.
"This is....."
"The Gallery of Recollections?" Isabel said as a hunch.
"Yes" Jing replied, not looking suspicious.
Before a word came out of her mouth, a hologram appeared infront of Isabel. A figure stood infront of her.
She could soon make out who she was.
"NIUDE STRONGFIELD?!"
"Hi." She said.
"Wait, why is she here?"
"Niude was the first generation animal master of light team. You might know her as an author."
"I.....am......RELATED TO NIUDE!?!?"
"Yes"
"So, fair...um.....Isabel was it? I heard you have troubles with Ralph?"
"Ralph? Thats the dragon's name?"
"Yes. I had to take care of a phoenix when I was first an animal master too. It was challenging, but felt great in the end. After that, I learnt the secret of an Animal Master. That was when my stories got famous. That might happen to you too. Don't let your friends down. The job of an animal master is to protect, yet heal the ally of oneself's team. Don't worry about the pain you are getting now, that's just a little bit. Don't be scared of light team, be proud of light team. Do you understand now."
"Yes! I will try hard and train Ralph!" Isabel said.
"Good. Sayonara now!"
"Bye!"
Isabel was brought back to her room. She uncovered the towel and there was Ralph, sleeping soundly. The next few days, she took care of Ralph.
One day however, it was special. Ralph was huge. Then, he exploded into colours, he returned smaller and smaller. The shell of the egg appeared and soon enough, Ralph was back in his egg, reincarnating for another hero. The challenge was complete!
Sumi appeared.
"Good Job. A trial has been completed. Now, lets celebrate!"
A giant-sized ice cream sundae was on the table. It was Vanilla, Isabel's Favourite.
"Thank you thank you thank you thank you!"
"Ciao now!!!!"
As the day ended, Isabel ate the ice cream. The sun set and she went to bed. It sure was a celebratory day.....
