"Riley! Get down here or you are going to be late! Remember to take out your lip and nose piercing aswell. I want you to behave this year and not get expelled again." My mother shouts. I roll my eyes but do as she says. This was one of the last schools that I could get into. I mean I didn't mean to set my last school on fire and at the school before that crash the headteachers car, or the time before that when I flooded the girls bathroom and the five nearest classrooms. However this school is for troubled teens. Or for people who are really poor. Which is what I am. Both of them I guess. Mum had already made me die my hair blonde again and she had made sure that my clothes covered up my tattoos. She wants me to be normal. I grab my bag and walk downstairs. Mum looks at me, "Take them out!" She hisses pointing to my eyes. I frown,
"Take what out?" I ask innocently.
"The yellow contacts." She growls. I groan,
"Can't you let me have this one thing? I have done everything else." I whine. She gives me a glare. I sigh and take them out blinking a few times. I then pass them to mum. She crushes them and then sends me out the door.
"Have a good day and please behave." She yells. I give her the third finger salute and walk off. We had moved just around the corner from school so I couldn't even drive there. I walk out of sight from the house and then take out the silver contacts I put in my pocket. I place them in and blink to get rid of the slight color haze. I walk through the gates and people give me a quick glance before going back to what they were doing. Someone crashes into my shoulder.
"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry." She says. I turn around and come face to face with a girl who has bright pink hair and blue eyes.
"Its fine. Just watch where you are going." I mutter. She looks at me,
"I will do. Aren't you the new girl? If you want I can show you around." She asks.
"Actually can you just show me to the office?" I ask. She smiles,
"Of course. I'm Iana. (Pronounced e-an-a)"
"Riley." I reply. We walk to the office in silence.
"So how'd did you end up here?" She asks after awhile.
"Needed to downsize house. You?"
"Oh... I was in juvie for a year and then no other schools would take me." She mutters. This perks up my ears.
"What where you in for?" I ask. She gives me a side long look.
"I worked for a very large hacking organisation." She whispers.
"Cool. I remember meeting a few people like that when I was in." I smile. She stops and grabs my wrist.
"You where in?" She asks.
"Oh shit. No one was meant to know. Oh well. I was in juvie for two years due to drugs. You can't tell anyone though."
"Holy shit. You don't look like the druggies." I laugh at her comment.
"I didn't do them. No I sold them for one of my brothers."
"Oh... And is you brother living with you?" She asks.
"You won't get any drugs if he was he doesn't give any to girls under nineteen and no he isn't. He is in jail for another seven years." I reply. We arrive at the office. "You seem like a nice person." I tell her. She smiles.
"I would like to think I am. Anyway I can wait for you here and skip or if you would rather I leave I can."
"No you can stay I only need to get my timetable and map." I mutter and I walk over to the desk.
