By the end of the day I can't move a step without someone asking me how I got into the program, so I take my next approach and push my way through them all, punching them lightly if needed to. I get outside and see Iana and Nolan talking. I walk over to them, they see me and Iana smiles.
"Riley!" She shouts. I meet them with a crowd following behind me.
"Hey what's up?" I ask them.
"Oh you know you being someone who managed to get in the program!" Iana squeals. I role my eyes
"I'm not sure I want to. Too much hype about it all." I mutter. Nolan gives me an are you crazy? Look.
"Why not?" He asks.
"Cause why should they dictate what I can and can't do?" I reply.
"But... That's like the biggest honor." He stutters. The sound of a motorbike catches everyone's attention as the pull into the school. I large grin makes it's way to my face as the person gets off and I tun to him wrapping my arms and legs around him before he has even got his helmet off. He catches me and I hear him let out a deep chuckle before putting me down. He takes off his helmet. His blonde hair has been dyed black and swept across to the back and his blue eyes have never been brighter.
"Hey sis." He smirks.
"Hey Alec!" I squeal. I'm not normally one for a squealer but it's my brother who I haven't seen in years. The people around us are quiet and watch us carefully.
"What sort of dump has mum and dad brought you into?" He asks looking around.
"The only place that would accept me." I reply. He smirks and ruffles my hair but I pull him off.
"That's my girl!" He winks. He passes me the helmet. "Come on let's go." I turn and smile at Nolan and Iana before getting on the bike and driving off with Alec.
We drive around for a little bit before reaching a cliff that overlooks the town and stop there. I get off and take the helmet off.
"So does mum and dad know you're here?" I ask. He shakes his head.
"No they still think I'm in prison. And I'd like to keep it that way." He sighs. I give him a sad smile.
"So why are you here then?" I ask.
"Can't I not check in on my little sis Riles?" He asks
"Not without a good reason normally. It tends to just be a phonecall for a check in." I tell him. He sighs.
"You know me too well." He replies
"Well I'm your sister." I chuckle he gives me a smile before turning serious.
"I need your help on something..." He trails off. Dread fills me.
"I'm not dealing again." I tell him sternly. He shakes his head.
"No no. Not that. I need you to enter the program at your school." He informs me. I squint my eyes at him.
"And how would you know about the program?" I ask.
"Do you really think mum and dad just happened to find this school in a town in the middle of nowhere?" He asks. I groan.
"What do you need me to do then?" I ask.
"Find out what you can about the people who will offer jobs and see what they want with me." He tells me looking out over the town.
"What have you done?" I ask worriedly.
"I don't know... But I knew that they would accept you into the program the minute you arrived basically. They need me for something... Or after me for something." He sighs. I walk over and wrap my arms around his waist to hug him from behind.
