I sat in the small bathing tent, pulling shards of glass out of my palms.

I had actually tried to make friends, that was one of the worst decisions I had ever made.

To have a friend, you would have to have trust. To tell them your secrets. I couldn't afford to to tell anyone my secrets.

I pulled out the last shard.

I rested my finger on the edge of the shard.

I had made this glass myself, I had given it that iridescent sheen.

It contained my magik, therefore it contained a part of me in some ways.

I had shown my weakness, I had cried.

Infront of someone.

I pushed my finger into the glass, staring at it as blood welled up.

The bathing tent consisted of a small tub of water and a full length mirror. I stared into the mirror and started undressing, more and more scars revealed. Most of them where small, almost invisible to the naked eye. But there where one or two big ones. I traced the star shaped one on my stomach, shivering at the memory of how it occurred. It had been my fifth birthday, the villagers had been extremely mad at the fact that I had actually talked to their children.

I pulled my hair over my shoulder, turning my back to the mirror.

I inhaled a shaky breath, and glanced over my shoulder.

As I looked at my back, I cringed.

In between my shoulder blades where the words Demon in kanji.

Demon, that is what people see me as.
