[Sakurako] - [4 years later]
The sky began to darken warning me that I should start heading back. It wouldn't hurt to stay here for a little longer though. I was sat in one of the beautiful parks of my city. I would come here almost every night just to the see the sunset. I loved to watch the baby blue sky change with different shades of orange and pink.
I should head back now, if I stay out any longer I could run into trouble. When I say trouble I mean vampires, there are still many out on the loose. Hiding, blending in with human society. Beasts in human form, that's what I and Zero tend to call them.
I've reached the outskirts of the forest which I use as a short cut that I would take to get back home. I have walked quite a bit in the forest but I stopped in my tracks as I heard some rustling within the trees. I listened carefully, I heard more rustling and the scent in the air suddenly went awfully sour.
Vampires. I knew they weren't Level E's, because they would've attacked me already. They're regular vampires that must want to stir up trouble. I could sense 2 vampires hidden in the trees, waiting for the right moment to pounce on me.
However I'm no ordinary 14 year old girl. I'm the daughter of one of the greatest vampire hunter families that has ever existed.
One of the vampire leapt down headed towards me. I won't allow that to happen though. I unsheathed my Katana, which I've taken the liberty to name it Setsuna. Setsuna means to last only for a moment. Anybody who comes to end of my katana will simply be killed in a second.
Most people would see this as a display item of mine or they would think I have trained at a dojo of some sort. If you were a hunter like me, you would have known straight away that this was an anti-vampire weapon.
I swiftly turned around on my heels and slashed at my opponent. He was fast and had acknowledged my fighting technique as I've only made a gash on his left arm. He jumped back and hissed in pain. "Who the hell are you!?" I yelled at him. "What is your business here?"
My opponent quickly regained his posture "What a rude girl you are, Sakurako Sasaki. My name is Shane." Shane? He's not Japanese... That is not the point I should be focusing on right now. How the hell does he even know my name? Has he been tailing me without me knowing it? "I'm here to take you away on a little trip. If you put that weapon of yours away, I promise that you will not be harmed".
Lies. Say that again and I will kill you and I will dance all over your grave. Never trust a beast in human form. He sighed and closed his eyes. He opened them again revealing them now turned crimson. "I don't wish to do this. We are going to take you the hard way, whether you like it or not". He waved his hand, what is he doing? Before I knew it four more vampire jump out. I had managed to keep them from biting me, but I had ended up falling onto the ground when one kicked me.
I dropped Setsuna and clutched onto my stomach. The next thing I knew was that I was picked up by my hair. I howled in pain and kicked towards him but he didn't give up. "Let go! Let go of me, you filthy animal!" My screams were muffled by a cloth that had a sickly sweet scent to it.
I felt sleepy, what is this smell? The cloth... He-he drugged me...
My vision and thoughts were in a blur and I couldn't understand what was happening. The last things I heard was another man's voice speaking to Shane.
"Brother... This is wrong, we shouldn't be doing this..."
