Could it be?

I'm really not the only one?

But.. That's impossible. How could I not have known until now?

So many thoughts were twisting around in Violet's head, all at once. Her mind was racing, her pulse rising.

Almost in the same moment that she had stepped away, the boy had gotten up, now standing before her. A look of utter confusion was twisted upon his pale face.
Violet turned back to him, her eyes examining the now empty places along his body where his apparently momentous major injuries had now suddenly faded to nothing.

"Miss? Are you.. Alright?" He questioned, his tone filled with that same old sound. The one that she had heard all her life; the kind of monotonous tone that every teacher would shoot at her when ever she failed to complete her homework.

"Is everything alright at home?" They would say, when in reality, they could care less.

"Miss. Are you alright?"

"Yes.. I'm-.. Im fine.. Are you? What about your injuries?"

If he wasn't a reaper, something was definitely off about him.

The mysterious boy paused a moment, not uttering a word. Time seemed to have stood still for a whole thirty seconds.

"Yes, I'm fine." His voice seemed, in a way, monotone; almost as if it pained him just to say it.

Violet knew something was up now. Though it may cause her some embarrassment if she were to have judged him wrong, she decided to go for the leap.

"Your injuries have faded rather quickly.. Almost supernaturally, if you will... Are you, a Reaper?" Her voice made her sound like she was rather iffy on the topic.

The boy merely stared at her; he looked as if he had just seen some horrible accident take place, right before his own eyes.

After another long few moments of silence, Violet saw his lip twitch.

He was about to finally reply.

"My names' Kivu."
