Wow, twelve views after a day of publication? Wow.

Holy cow that sounds so pathetic...

I tucked my hair behind my ear, smiling at the calmness that the boat I was on held. I was on my way to Whale Island, but everything was just so... peaceful.

According to the manga, Gon knew that his parents aren't really dead around age five, I think. Wait, in the manga it said three years ago, which means he was eight because he took the hunter exam when he was eleven in the manga... Anyways, I'm hopeful things will go like the 2011 anime, where it's never told if Gon knew if his parents were dead or not, which it suggests that there were no lies, just little information.

But then my mind was thrown into another loophole. 'Wait, in the 2011 anime, he knows his father's name after the exam, and he asked Pockle to look his father's name up, meaning he knew it. But when he returned home after the Heaven's Arena, Mito told him his name, and he said his name like he liked the ring of it, hearing it for the first time... But in the manga, he knows his father's name but thinks he's dead! He learns the truth at age eight, my age. Kite might already be there, just passed, or close to stopping by... Urgh, I'm getting a headache. I'll just ask what he knows and explain from there.' I thought, thoughts starting to get jumbled.

We arrived and my mind was racing, trying to find out what version of Hunter x Hunter this was. 'Well,' I thought, stopping. 'In the flashback of that one movie, Kurapika's 'parents' waved goodbye to him, and they did look like that... And the spelling of the Zoldyck is the 2011's version.. Who knows, it might be a mix.' I thought again, walking in the town of Whale Island.

Before I knew it, I had bumped into someone while in my thoughts. I fell to the ground, landing on my bum. The person I had knocked into had done the same, and I glared, about to yell.

"Hey! Watch whe-"

My words were taken from my mouth as I realized who I had bumped into. "Ah! I'm so sorry Senp-" I cut myself off, releasing I was about to call him what I had always had called him. A blush rose to my cheeks as I realized my mistake.

"I-I'm sorry! Urm, I was in deep thought!"

He smiled back. His smile made my heart speed up, as my blush increased.

"That's okay! I'm sorry too!" He said, getting to his feet.

"What's your name?" He asked. "A-Akiyo. Akiyo Izumi."

"It's nice to meet you Akiyo! My name is Gon!"

I sipped some hot coco Mito had made. "So, you're visiting Whale Island! You're so young to be traveling."

"Well, I've been trained for nearly a year, so I know my stuff pretty well and can protect myself. Training has also made me bolder and more confident." I responded. "I also have advanced schooling, so I'm really smart for my age too."

"That's amazing!" Senpai Gon said.

"Y-You think?" I asked, slightly embarrassed. "Un!" Gon said, a small blush taking over his own cheeks.

3rd POV

Mito looked between the two, smile growing wider as she realized what was going on between them.

"It would be a shame if another boy liked her as well..." she muttered. (MITO U JUST JINXED IT)

Gon felt his heart beat fast as he felt the need to cuddle Akiyo, but he knew it was rude to hug someone while they were drinking or eating something.

Little eight year old Gon didn't know what the feeling was, and guessed it was just what you felt when you had a friend. (Gon is so cuute)

Back Akiyo's POV

After a while, Gon and I decided to go into the forest together. While in there, there was a pond where Gon decided to teach me how to fish.

"So first, you put bait on the end." he said, putting a worm he found on the end of his hook. He held his fishing rod out to me as I took it.

'Huh,' I thought, looking at it. 'This is his dad's fishing rod, so his past is not from the 1999 version.' I said, giving a few more good looks before throwing it in the water, remembering when I first fished with Ging.

"Like this, right?" I said. "Uh huh!" Gon said cheerfully. Gon wrapped an arm around me and placed his hands on the fishing rod when my hands were, overlapping my hands. We both turned red at the position.

"Wait until you feel a tug..." Gon whispered in my ear, making me flush even more. "And pull!" he said after a fish had taken the bait. We both reeled in the fish, which was actually a pretty good sized fish.

"Woah! You did great for your first time." he said.

"T-Thanks..." I said, red faced. We both hesitantly pulled away from the fishing rod before Gon pulled me in a hug after I let go of the rod.

I blushed at the embrace. "G-Gon? I stuttered. "Y-You're just so huggable!" he stuttered, and I could tell his face was red because of the heat his face was letting off as he snuggled in the crook of my neck. "E-Eh?" (Akiyo is not Canadian)(Sorry that was a really bad joke)

We stayed like that for a while.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~A month of two later~~~~~~~~~~~
"Gon?" I said, staring at the stars. "Yeah?" he asked. "Do you... have any family? Besides Mito and your Grandmother, that is." "Mm, I have a dad. His name is Ging. I don't though who my mom is. All I know is that my dad left me so he could be a hunter."
"Gon, do you know who taught me to fight for a year?" I asked. "Nope."
"Ging. Ging taught me how to fight." Gon sat up quickly. "Eeh!?! Really?! Why didn't he come too?"
"He said he wouldn't know how to confront you after leaving you like that." "Well I wouldn't of cared! I just want to meet him." I giggled.
"That's what I said! He wouldn't believe me though. But one thing for sure, is that you still have a place inside his heart."
Gon smiled. "Yosh! That makes me more motivated to find him! But," Gon walked over to where I was sitting.
"Will you join me on my journey?" he said, smiling at me. "You see, whenever I'm around you, my heart beats fast and I want to keep you close and protect you.I don't know what it is, but I like it!" Gon said, smile expanding, but face redding.
"G-Gon, I know what that feeling is..." I said. "Ehh?! What is it?" "You'll have to learn on your own. A-And," I said, trying to put on my meanest face, but only turning to a pout. "I'm not going to accept your feelings until you're twelve. Got it?! I'll meet you in the Hunters exam when we're twelve."
"You mean you're not staying?" Gon said, tone turning disappointed. "Yes. I am a traveler after all." I said, rolling my eyes.
"But-" I cut Gon off by kissing his cheek. I pulled away, looking at the red faced Gon who had become silent. "Twelve, okay? Twelve years old. We'll meet again when we're that old." I said, starting to walk to the port.
"W-Wait! Akiyo! You're leaving right this very moment?"
"Yep! I already told Mito my goodbyes!"
"But it's in the middle of the night!"
"That's just how I roll!"
