BEEEEEEEEEEEEP

I slam snooze on the alarm clock and groggily get out of bed.  I walk to the bathroom and splash some cold water on my face. I quickly dry my face with a white towel and walk to back into my room. I close the door behind me and walk to my closet to get my clothes.

I grab my black skinny jeans and a tee shirt that says ‘let the good times roll’ I slip them on and go to my mirror; I hastily tie my wavy brown hair in a pony tail leaving out my side fringe that just reaches the top of my brown eyes. My eyes are rimmed with long eyelashes that I inherited from my father.

“Cassieeeeeeeeeeeee” Cody my 5-year-old brother yells as he rammed into me.  I smile and bend down to his level. Cody has different features compared to the rest of us in the family. He has dirty blond hair and blue eyes that are also rimmed by long lashes. My grandma always says his going to be a big hit with the ladies when he’s older.

“Some ones happy” I give him a kiss on the cheek.

“ I have show and tell today and I’m going to show my whole class our family photo”

I frowned and looked at the photo he was holding up to show me. It’s the one where I look like I’m choking on something. I stand back up and ruffle his hair

“ Where’s the rest of the family?”

“ In the kitchen”

I walk into the kitchen to see my mum cooking breakfast. I’m told I resemble my mum A LOT. She has natural brown hair like me but its currently dyed black. She has olive skin like me and brown eyes.

My dad and sister are over on the table reading a comic in the newspaper. my sister Chloe has light brown hair and light brow eyes that I swear turn green at times. She’s the cutest sister ever. She’s going to turn twelve this December.
My dad has black hair they is graying in some places. He has brown eyes and is quite tall.

“Morning” I half yell in a singsong voice and walk to the fridge and take out an apple.

“Morning” mum echoed. She’s the only one that acknowledged my presence. Dad and my sister are to engulfed in the newspaper. I give them all a quick kiss on the cheek.

“See you guys after school!” I yell over my shoulder and take a bite of my apple, and walk out of the kitchen.  I snag my school bag and phone from the living room and walk out the front door.

I’m a pretty lucky girl. I have one truly unique family. Most teenage girls would be embarrassed about spending lots of time with their family but I’m the opposite. I love it. My families not like the usual family you see. We’re all like best friends. We never keep any secrets from each other. I also have an older sister but she’s married and has started her own family. She has little Cooper that is truly adorable. He’s going to turn 2 this month!
