"Kim could you please help me putting-"
"Nah" I was harshly cut off by her as I held multiple bags of crisps and bottles of vodka and rum, juggling them between my arms as I entered the kitchen already dressed in my costume.
What kind of help did I expect from that ungrateful asian bastard?
I was perfectly aware that all the hard work would be dumped over my thin back but I only prayed, just minutes away from guests arriving.
Although Harry and Niall assured me that his group of friends would bring more bottles of diverse liquors and more snacks to prevent people from getting pissed drunk and puking my furniture and plants around the flat.
April and Alec had helped me a lot to set the halloween-y atmosphere earlier along with Max who insisted on decorating my small terrace for smokers which after a lot of begging I permitted, seeing it as positive at the end of the day; I didn't want the firemen crashing my party due to the smoke alarm coming off amidst the chaos.
The only thing left for me to do was to put music and touch up my make up and hair which from all the last minute chores ruined a little.
Eventually my boogie rollerskating girl costume worked out perfectly, I found my old white skating shoes and threw them off with knee high socks. I bought some gym skin tight shorts and a glittered spandex leotard that was quite a challenge to put on but I looked so fun in the costume. I teased my hair up and pinning my long bangs backwards in a volumizing hairstyle. About my make up I felt like a child again putting stickers of glittery stars on the corner of each one of my eyes with colorful eyeshadow on my lids and cherry red lips. To finish the look I got myself a pair of heart shaped pink sunglasses that matched at perfection.
As I laced up my roller skates the bell rang through the flat announcing that my first guests had finally arrived and it was my cue to get ready. Of course I couldn't contain my emotion for the first people arriving so I skated down to the door very unstable and beginner but I figured later I could better myself in the art of skating.
I fixed my costume before opening and checked everything looked good, then opened the door with a swing and posed for her first guest who was Catwoman, or Maxine. Behind her was April dressed as a rag doll, with stitches on the corner of her mouth and fingers.
She looked very sweet in her short white and pastel pink checkered dress and her braids and her small hat, on the other hand Maxine looked like a bombshell in a full black spandex play suit and a Catwoman mask covering half of her face, showing her dark eyes lined up with black and her lips were blood red.
"Wow, you look hot!" Max complimented scanning with her eyes my body clad in my short 70's rollerskater girl, stopping for a second on my shorts.
"Thanks, I can say the same by you, kitten" I elbowed her ribs and she didn't even laugh at my joke. April giggled just a little which confirmed it was a bad joke.
"Okay. I'll ignore that and just step in" Max said entering my flat and April came after her.
"April you look amazing too" I said hugging the smaller girl with a cute smile that she thanked.
"Thanks Prim"
"The skirt was longer but you know, nobody that arrives with Catwoman is allowed to look like a virgin" Max added with a sway of her hips.
I giggled cleaning for the last time before the party could ruin my kitchen counter.
Us three put some party music on to set the vibe and waited for the rest of the people to come, turned off the lights and used only the flashing ones. Within minutes Niall walked through the door dressed in a blood red velvet robe and a tobacco dangling on his lips.
