Chapter 25. I'm done.

McKenna's POV:

It's the end of the day. I spent the entire day with Rydel and Stormie. "Hey, I'm going to go see Ross. I think he's back now." I say and she nods. "I'm coming with. I miss him too." We laugh and go up to his room. Were both in our pyjamas. They're matching onesies. I take out the card he gave me and open the door. "Ross! Are you back? Rydel and I want to hang out!" I call. I see his phone on the table so he's got to be here. "We can watch a movie. Were lonely and need cuddles." We laugh. Then Courtney comes out with a towel on. And Ross behind her. With no shirt and shorts on. "Uh... What's uh, going on here?" Rydel says. "Oh we went hiking and I got all dirty so I took a shower." We nod slowly. "Don't worry guys I'm still a virgin." Ross says winking as a signal for us to go along with it. We nod. "Just looking out for my baby bro." Rydel says. "Well I have an early flight tomorrow morning so I'll get dressed and be on my way. It was nice seeing you Rydel..... McKenna." I don't think she really likes me. I don't hate her but

I do admit I'm kind of jealous of her. She goes into the bathroom and closes the door. We both look at Ross. "I told her I'm a virgin and so is she. She wants us to lose it together." He mumbles. "But- I want to talk to you. Alone please." He nods. "I'll cover for you." Rydel says as I follow Ross out the door. We head downstairs and walk to the beach.

"So what do-"

"Ross, do not say it. Do not. You were supposed to break up with her and I come to our room and she's NAKED!" I scream. "Please baby calm down." He replied softly. "Calm down?! What do you mean CALM DOWN?! You're dating a girl who isn't me? How can I calm down?!" I probably sound like a crazy person. "I don't want to hurt her." He says. "I don't care! You're hurting me. Do you not see that?!" I sigh and walk to the shore. A few tears fall down to my cheek as the water crashes onto my feet. "She thinks were together you know?" He says standing next to me. "I thought we were... Are we?" I ask. "Um... Well I have to break up with her before anything else goes on between us." I nod breaking into a sob. "Don't cry. Please?" He say. "How can I not? I've lost you." I say. "No you haven't. I'm right here." I shake my head.

"You moved on. I've lost you." I shake my head not wanting to except it. "I see where you're coming from but I will figure this all out. I promise." He says reaching for me but I back up. "Stop making promises you can't keep because you get my hopes high. And then you keep saying the same thing. I can't... You can't keep giving me false hope." I mumble the last bit. "I know." He says. "Okay so when are you going to tell her because she'll find out soon. If the fans see you two together, they'll think you're cheating on me. Please just stop hurting me. It reminds me of the other times you've... Cheated on me. Just... Stop. I'm tired. I'm staying with Rydel tonight. Talk to me when you figure out what you're going to do because I can't do this anymore." And with that I walk away.

Rydel's POV:

I hope everything with those two will be okay. It has to be. I mean I like Courtney and all but she's not right for my brother. Him and McKenna are too perfect eachother. I pace back and forth hoping they'll show up soon. I don't know what to say to Courtney. I hear the door open. I turn around and see Courtney fully dressed. "Hey." She says. "H-Hi. Leaving so soon? Well it was nice seeing you. Bye." I rush. "It was nice seeing you too. Where did Ross go? And McKenna?" I laugh. "Oh those two... They um.. Well, ross went to uh.. He said his cast mate needed him and McKenna, she went to get her sweater. Yup!" She nods. I'm glad she bought it. "Oh. Okay well thanks. Bye." She waves and leaves. I fall onto the couch and sigh. I'm not good under pressure. Obviously. I never- "Rydel lets go!"

I was interrupted by McKenna sobbing. "What happened?" I ask. "We were... We were talking and.. I can't do this! Just take me to the room and keep him away from me. Just until this clears up." I nod and put my around her taking her back to our room. "Do you need anything?" She sighs laying down on her side. "No. I just... I need to lay down and try to calm down. Come lay with me. We can watch a movie." I nod and get under the covers with her. In a totally friendly way. I chose Inside out as the movie. It's a nice movie all about team work and helping eachother out and it has nothing to do with boys. "Hey. It'll all be okay and I know you're probably thinking that's what everyone says and it never gets better but trust me. It will. I promise." I say putting my arm on her shoulder.

She rested her head on mine as we watched the movie. She passed out before the end but she's a cuddler so she wouldn't let go. I just lied there with her until I fell asleep.
