Summary: The reader remembers everything that happened between her and Dean, and must decide what to do next.

A/N: I just love this little series, don't you's?

The song for the chapter is Give me love by Ed Sheeran

Dean's face went from worried to panicked, and he slumped back in his chair as you ran from the room. You ran to your bedroom, slamming and locking the door before realizing that this wasn't the best place for you to hide out right now. You shared this room with Dean, and he was everywhere in here. You sat on the bed and closed your eyes, your head in your hands, not wanting to see any of his things laying around.

You cried quietly for a while, the memories playing on repeat in your head.

"You okay? You seem a little off tonight," you said.

Dean shrugged his shoulders. "I'm fine." His voice was flat and he didn't meet your eyes.

You crawled into his lap and wrapped your arms around him. "Hey," you said, forcing him to look at you. "Tell me."

Dean ran his strong hands up your thighs and leaned forward to kiss you, but you pushed him back. "Don't distract me," you laughed. "I'm trying to show concern here."

That had happened the first night you saw the look. That forced smile that he didn't quite mean. The eyes that didn't quite shine like normal. But Dean had convinced you he was just tired, and you'd let it go.

Two days later, he told you he thought you should move out.

"Don't you think this is all going a little too fast?"

"You were the one who brought me here in the first place! You kissed me! You chased after me. You convinced me that we were 'destined' for each other. And now you want me to leave?"

The fight that had followed was devastating. Dean shut down, closed himself off to you entirely, and insisted that your relationship was moving too quickly, getting too intense. You remembered now how it had broken you. Dean Winchester was the first person you had ever fallen in love with. It had happened so fast and so completely that you hadn't had time to doubt yourself. And when you found out about the psychic (whose name was Diana, you remembered now) and the reason why she was trying to keep you apart, it had seemed like there was no reason for the two of you not to dive right in. Not only were you in love, but some higher power had meant for you to be. Everything had been perfect.

And then it wasn't.

You had never been in love before, let alone had your heart broken, and you didn't think you could take it. It felt like you were being ripped apart, like all the air had been sucked out of the room or you had been thrown underwater, and you were gasping for oxygen that just wouldn't come. You knew it had only been a few months, but you had never been one to hold back. You had given all of yourself to Dean.

And he had decided he didn't want it.

He had left that night, taken the Impala and gone to "clear his head", and you had collapsed into your bed and sobbed yourself dry. Along with the hurt and the loss came the feeling of betrayal. Your whole life had been taken from you, altered into that world you'd believed had been real. It had been terrifying for you when you met the real Winchesters and found out the truth, but Dean had made you feel secure. He had been the only safe place you'd known, and you had trusted him with your life.

That was a mistake, you thought bitterly.

That night had left you shattered and desperate, and you prayed for Cas. You begged him to send you back. You didn't want to get over this, you just wanted to forget it had ever happened. You wanted to go back to that time when Dean was a fictional character that would never break your heart. Cas had argued with you at first, but you wore him down when you spoke of feeling lost and abandoned. That was something Cas understood.
