"So now what?" Carol said.
"What do you mean?" Lori asked.
"What do we do? We are all bored." Carol said.
"Yeah!" Carl blurted out.
"Relax. We deserve it after all we've been through, don't we?" Lori replied.
"I guess so." Carol said, unsure.
"Soak up some vitamin D," Lori suggested.
Carol did so. Occasionally Lori gave crushed fruit to the baby and gave it milk. Rick occasionally played with the baby. Carl always looked so lonely, he has been so quiet since the baby.
"Carl, honey?" Lori called.
"Yes, mom." Carl replied.
"Can you see your dad? You two need more father-son time." Lori said.
"Alright!" Carl said.
Carl walked into the prison, Rick was talking with Daryl about having more people.
"Dad. We need more kids, like Sophia." Carl explained.
"He's right," Rick said.
"We need more people able to handle a gun, not a toy." Daryl argued.
"We want to live in a friendly environment. But we will get more men able to handle guns don't worry." Rick concluded.
"Great! Can I go?" Carl said.
"sure." Rick hesitated.
"I'll look for people capable of shooting." Daryl stated.
"And we'll search for children." Rick agreed.
Rick, Carl, and Daryl left the prison and into a small town nearby. It was like a ghost-town, all the walkers must be inside the houses. Carl looked around, he saw a school, he thought to look.
"Dad!" Carl whispered, pointing to the school.
"Alright. Daryl, were going to the school." Rick said.
Daryl nodded and Carl and Rick walked to the school. Carl opened the door cautiously and they went in.
"I'll go upstairs." Carl said.
Rick nodded, unsure. Carl ran upstairs, no walker in sight, although the place was a mess. Carl opened each door, searched each room. He opened the last, a girl was cowering in a corner, a gun at hand, crying. There were two walkers at their feet.
"Hello?" Carl said, calmly.
"Hi. Are you here to save me?" She asked.
"Yes. Follow me." Carl replied.
She stood up and followed. Her young face was almost flawless. Her skin was smooth, her hair was a long and lush colour of brown. Carl looked at her, actually staring at her beautiful flawlessness.
"What's your name and age?" Carl asked, still staring.
"I'm Rose. My age is 10." The girl replied.
Carl nodded and they went down the stairs. Rick was alone. He congratulated Carl on his discovery and they left.
"Have you seen or heard anybody alive?" Rick asked.
"No." Rose said.
"Where did you get that gun?" Rick wondered.
"In my teachers drawer." Rose replied.
"You a good shooter?" Rick asked.
"Sometimes." Rose answered.
Rick, Carl and the beautiful Rose returned to Daryl. He was surprised since he found nobody. They started walking back to the prison, though it was a long walk. Carl was attracted to Rose.
Rose was so pure. She just had greasy hair was all. But she can shower at the prison.
They finally reached the prison. Everybody looked surprised that they were successful about the search.
"Only one?" Glenn asked
"Yeah. Hardly even saw walkers, just her." Daryl replied.
Rose lay on the grass. She looked so relaxed. Carl noticed how the sun shined on her, she looked amazing.
Carl was stuck in a trance, he couldn't pull himself together. Then his mom shook him to reality.
"Show her our prison." Lori said.
Carl approached Rose. He almost didn't want to disturb her.
"Hey. I'm Carl," Carl greeted
"Hi, Carl." Rose replied, smiling.
"Would you like me to show you our home?" Carl gestured the prison.
"Sure!" Rose said.
Carl shown her every part of the prison, finally the bathroom.
"You can have a shower here, if you'd like." Carl said.
"Thank you. Also, thanks for taking me from that place." Rose said.
