The resolute sound of her sandals sounded bounced off the walls of the hospital. Turning her head from one side to another, her impatience swelled and swelled. Not to say Shizune was an impatient person, but for just this one time when that decent man had to test her patience.
Soon, a figure could be seen running down the corridor. The figure, who could no other be Tenzo, wheezed with his hand cupping his knees. It would be futile to add that she was elated with his "timely" arrival, but her inner conscience decided to close an eye to it.
Gathering his thoughts, he gazed fell apologetically on the lady's eyes; between chestful gasps he added, "Late, really super sorry", " "Sai- Naruto, squabbling and having to ease out the tension - really no other way he could spend his time productively. Stifling a soft chuckle to himself, he regained his composure and rose to meet eyes of beloved.
Sighing, Shizune voiced a rather informed guess, "Team 7?"
"Apparently a B, heck an A rank mission isn't the hardest thing yet, making those 2 co-operate is like a test from hell," Yamato remarked.
"I think you are even more deserving of one now for making me wait." said Shizune with a tiny subtle flinch on her forehead.
The man pouted back in defence, making the thick tension conflated with that of playfulness.
His gaze tightened on the svelte woman in front of him. Her sleek glazed black hair that caressed her shoulders evoked a sense of familiarity. "Hey, have we met before?"
Terse in her reply, Shizune said "We would have if you arrived on time. "
She beckoned to Team 7 "Now come along,
