I Love You (Shizune X Yamato Story)

Chapter Four: We Meet Again

Shizune slumped back in her chair and sighed. Oh how so many tragedies she had gone through her whole life. Her one and only uncle passed away, Tsunade brought her away to drown her sorrows. It was all to depressing enough for the young girl, but now, that was different, she had blossomed into a petite beautiful lady.

Despite spending her entire childhood in Konohagakure, Shizune found it harder than it seemed to fit in. And now that Tsunade was the new hokage, she had to juggle life and being Tsunade's attendant. Oh well, it was not nessecary that bad, right?

Ever since coming back to Konohagakure, she had a lingering memory in her mind. A blur one though. Something about a young boy....... A boy with a crude sense of humour.... A boy with ......... but she had no time to blabber she had to manage some issues tomorrow and she also had to bring Team 7's new sensei to Tsunade-sama. She sighed and drank her tea. Well at least she got to be with Ton Ton. The adorable little thing!

"Ahhh.... Shut up...." Shizune muttered angrily. She groaned as she shifted in her bed. After a few minutes of annoying ringing, Shizune finally slam the alarm clock off. She sat up on the bed and yawned. Stretching her still sore limps, she hissed at the brightness of the day.

*oh boy, here comes another day people....*

Shizune forced herself out of bed and went to the shower. She stripped of her clothes and turned on the shower. As soon as she felt the warm water on her body she sighed. Nothing had been exciting in her life, not many had a big impact in her life. And do not even mention love. That was far most thing she swore that would never happen to her. She never believed that unexpectedly love could just sweep her off her feet just like that. Suddenly she was snapped out of her thoughts when she glanced at the tiny clock in the bathroom. She was going to be late if she did not hurry! Shizune quickly stepped out of the shower and went to her room to put on her long bluish-black kimono, white obi and her low-heeled open toe sandals. She hurried out of the house, not forgetting to lock the doorand sprinted to the Hokage office.

"Shizune, would you get him? I need to brief him,"

Shizune nodded upon the request of Tsunade-sama. She flung open the balcony doors and stepped out. Shizune then saw an ANBU member standig straight. He had on a mask that resembled that of a cat's face, a sword strapped to the back of his ANBU attire and the ANBU tattoo on his left shoulder.Shizune could have sworn she had a gasp from behind the mask, but she refrained herself from asking him why. Some how this man's short brown hair seemed all too familliar. Shizune invited him in after a moment of awkward silence.

When the two stepped into the Hokage's office, the ANBU member stood in front of Tsunade. Shizune hurried to her position behind Tsunade-sama.

"Your new code name is Yamato. Would you please take off your mask?"

Tenzo a.k.a Yamato smirked behind the mask for a brief second or two. He saw anticipation in Shizune's eyes. Oh how she had grown into a woman. She was as beautiful as ever. Yamato then proceeded to taking of his mask. For a brief moment, Yamato starred daggers at the ground, then he looked up in what seemed like at the Fifth Hokage, but was actually staring deep into Shizune's eyes. Shizune gasped. Suddenly memories flooded into her mind as how she had occupied her childhood with this boy. Playing, training, making promises on how they would be the best shinobis when they grew up, laughing and everything else.

They were both cut off their little reunion when Tsunade-sama started' "You will be meeting Team 7 in two days time. For now you may leave and prepare, I do have to advise you, Naruto is a fiesty one,"
