I Love You (Shizune X Yamato Story)

Chapter One: Curiousity

"Uncle.... I want to become a ninja when I grow up! Just like you!"


The little girl beamed widely at Dan Kato. Dan Kato smiled back at her, proud that she had the same determination as himself when he was a kid.

"If you want to become a ninja, you have to train hard, and are you sure you can do that?"

Shizune nodded. She had dreams of being the hero of the village. Perhaps even become the hokage. She had always wished to become a ninja just as her parents were.

"I have to meet Tsunade very shortly, is it okay if I leave you in the house alone?" he asked, worried for her safety.

"Its ok uncle!"

"Are you going on a date with Tsunade-sama again?!" She asked gleefully. Shizune personally liked the two of them being together. She would be delighted if the two got married. She would finally get to know what it was like to have a mother.

Dan Kato was flushed. He began stuttering a little, but decided not to continue. He ruffled Shizune's hair.

"You do have one big mind in there don't you?"

Shizune was about to reply when he vanished. She was truly amazed by the powers of a shinobi. She had been told countless times that these powers were very important to save the user and the people around them, or it could be used to destroy lives. She was also told that her own parents also used these powers to fight the nine-tails, Kyubi. Shizune climbed up the stairs to her room. She quietly opened the door and went in. Shizune was careful not to get the ribbon that was used on her dress to get stuck in the door.

She went on to her bed post to see a picture of her and Dan Kato together. *I wonder whether Uncle has a picture of Mother and Father.... Should I go to his room?* She pondered for a few minutes before leaving her room.

Shizune tip-toed her way carefully to Dan Kato's room. As her uncle was a very fine shinobi, she knew that there were ought to be traps near his room. She had not been allowed to his room, and at certain times she would usually try to sneak in and only to her surprise would get caught. Shizune opened the door quietly and crept in. She pushed her hair aside to look for any traps. Suddenly she was wrapped in paper bombs.

"Oh man not again....." she grumbled.


Dan Kato suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He smirked at her. Shizune pouted.

"You cheeky little girl. Didn't I tell you not to come in here?" he asked untying her.

Shizune looked away from him and sulked.

"Hey cheer up. There's someone visiting us today! Want to see who it is?" Dan Kato asked in hope of cheering his little sulking niece up.

Shizune looked back at him and she was beaming. She had a wide grin on her face. Dan Kato then led her downstairs to the living room. Shizune, not knowing who the visitor was hid behind her uncle. Then was
when she saw a boy, the same boy as she was, with short brown hair and almond shaped eyes. She also noticed his expressionless face. Shizune was shocked and scared by his eyes and face.... *such a fearful face, is he the visitor?!*



"Shizune don't be shy.... Tsunade asked me to take care of this boy for a while. He's an orphan just like you, but he doesn't have an uncle or anything. Why don't you introduce yourself?" Dan Kato tried to break the ice.

"That's so sad uncle... He has no family members..." she mumbled back.


Shizune trotted to the boy who was sitting on a sofa. She sat next to him and put on her sweetest smile.

"Hi, I'm Shizune! Nice to meet you! What's your name?" she held out a hand and waited for a response.....
