I got home late today, and I couldn't help but just collapse on my bed. I knew I had a whole bunch of homework to do, but who really cares. I couldn't stop thinking about how embarrassing but sweet Christian's song was to me today. I mean, I know he means the best, but I have a boyfriend; one that i'm very loyal too.

I went into the bathroom to change into my pajamas. A piece of paper flew out of my jeans and I opened it up.
It was the note with the Fall Out Boy lyrics from Math.

It was romantic. Wasn't Ian. He'd never write me song lyrics. Plus, he doesn't go to my school.
It was anonymous. Wasn't Christian. He proved to me today that his affection is easily shown publicly.

I placed the note on the counter and continued to get ready for bed, thinking about whether I should google excuses on why I didn't do my homework or just skip class altogether. Shutting off the bathroom light, I heard a yell from outside.

"GET AWAY FROM HER HOUSE OR I'LL MAKE YOU,"

I looked out my window to find Ian and Christian throwing punches in my driveway.

Quickly, I run downstairs and out my front door. Yes, in my pajamas.

Christian's POV (WAIT WHAAAT??)

After school today, I had the best idea. Literally, the best.

My plan was to go to Alex's house at night and surprise her with another song. After yesterday afternoon, I don't know what's overcome me. Ever since I laid my eyes on Alex, i've had this... this feeling. I can't explain. I probably sound so stupid right now. Just stop, Christian.

It was 7 o'clock, already getting dark. I was making my way to her house, which is down the street, with my guitar slung over my shoulder when a car pulled up in her driveway. A sleek man with dark features came out and started to strut towards the house. He didn't even knock, just opened the door. Talk about being rude.

"Hey, douche!" I couldn't help myself but cut through the grass and stand in the driveway.
"What do you think you're doing?"

"Letting myself in." He laughed. "What do you think you're doing, little buddy?" Smirking, he shut the door slowly and walked over to me.

"I'm, uh..." I thought, trying to make up an excuse. "Alex and I are studying."

"Studying what?" His eyes fell on my guitar.

"Math,"

"Oh really? What's the last equation you solved?" He raised his eyebrow.

I smirked, remembering yesterday night. This guy might be taller than me, but not as capable as me. So I thought.

"Alex - you = Alex + me." I tried. Nope. Shouldn't of said that.

"STAY AWAY FROM HER HOUSE OR I'LL MAKE YOU," He yelled, throwing a punch. I ducked, quickly putting my guitar on the grass. Shouldn't of done that.

He stepped on my guitar and it was crushed. I cursed under my breath, furious. Getting to Alex was not going to be that easy.

I knee-ed him where he shouldn't be knee-ed, then punched him square in the nose. I watched as he just laughed. Why do I have to be so weak?

The douche punched me repeatedly, and the last thing I heard was Alex telling him to stop.

Alex's POV

Quickly, I ran downstairs and out my front door. Yes, in my pajamas.

I saw Christian's guitar smashed and Ian punching him over and over and over, blood all over Christian's face. Oh my god. If my parents were in town, Ian wouldn't even have been here in the first place. This is all my fault.

"Ian! Stop! Please!" I begged, running over and holding Ian back. Christian was knocked out, but still bleeding.

Ian gave me a dirty look, then hopped in his car and left, speeding out of the neighborhood.

"Christian?" I tried to shake him awake. With no luck, I dragged him inside and into the downstairs bathroom.

I wet a paper towel and wiped his face clean of blood, then bandaged his nose to stop the constant bleeding.

I looked at him for a second. I remember the taste of his pink lips, and how he pulled me closer and closer to him as we kissed.

Christian's eyes flickered open and he smiled as he saw me staring.

"Hi," he said.

"Oh. Sorry. I'm a little close. Are you okay?" I said, choppy.

"Okay as i'll ever be!" He sat up, and looked like he was thinking. "Is that your boyfriend?"

"Yeah," I gulped.

"He's a douche,"

"I know,"

"Then why are you dating him?"

"I- I don't know," I looked down at my hands and started picking at my fingernails, tears welling up in my eyes.

"Don't cry beautiful, please don't cry," Christian said, wiping the first tear that came down with his thumb.

I looked up and wiped my face dry, then took a deep breath. "I don't know," I repeated.

"Me either," He responded, and I looked down again.

He picked my chin up and I looked into his eyes again; the eyes that bring me in every time.

It was a familiar feeling, him holding my chin as we looked into each other's eyes. I... liked it.
And... I kissed him first.

He was a bit taken aback at first, but he kissed back. The bandages rubbed up against my nose and I smiled into the kiss, my hands on his cheeks.

When I kissed Christian, there was something between us that I never felt with Ian.

Sparks.
