Aubrey's POV

"Where are we going?" I asked Kian as we stepped into his car.
"Uh," he replied tapping his leg quickly. "I was thinking we go walk the boardwalk? And then later tonight I heard they're going to have a firework show over the pond."
"Sounds great," I promised, excitedly.
When we arrived I was amazed with the park he had chosen. It had a huge pond, surrounded with cobblestone walls, which had carefully planted flowers lining the perimeter.
I gasped, hand over chest; "Kian it's lovely!"
He blushed as he smiled at his feet, before we both began walking around the boardwalk and park.
"What if I just pushed you in?" he began, playfully.
I raised an eyebrow, before rolling my eyes.
He smiled. "I would never do that," he promised.
"Good," I responded, stating at the gorgeously planted flowers.
"Aubrey?" he asked.
"Hmm?" I replied, a smile shamelessly stretched across my face.
"Do you like it?" he asked shyly, turning redder by the second.
"Kian, it's perfect!" I told him, as he continued to look at the ground. "Hey," I told him. "Don't be so nervous, you're doing great."
Of course, this made him turn even redder, although he did look up and at me.
"Hey, so- you live with Ricky and Jc, right?"
"And Connor," he replied slowly. "How did you know that?"
Agh!
"I mean- I was just-" I began, trying to word it in the less creepy way possible. "I was watching a few of your videos last night," I said quickly, my hands tense.
"Oh really?" he asked plainly, nodding. "Yeah without Connor our house would be a disaster, so he's a good lil guy."
I laughed at this, loosening up.
"Your guys house is really clean," he noticed. "Do you have a maid or someone?"
I rolled my eyes; "Not yet. We just moved in, so it's hard to get it messy in two days, and Jade and I have been cleaning. We're not that bad at keeping it clean."
"You're getting one though?"
"When we go to school, tomorrow we might look into it."
"Oh, first day, what are you taking?" he asked.
"It's a high class music academy," I replied.
"Oh," he began. "What do you play?"
I laughed; "my voice."
"Oh, you can sing?" he asked me, shocked.
"Yeah, Jade and I have been singing for a long time."
"Sing for me then," he dared me.
"What? Here?"
"Yeah," he replied sitting on a bench.
For some reason, I felt nervous. I never was nervous to sing for people, but I felt like Kian was one I had to impress.
"Um," I began, clutching my fists. "What song?"
"Do fix you by Coldplay," he requested.
"Oh my god, you know that song?" I asked excitedly.
"Yeah I love it," he replied with an obvious tone. "Now sing."
I coughed three times, before tapping my foot to the beat of the song.
"When you try your best, but you don't succeed," I began, singing the lyrics of one of my favourite songs. I continued to sing for him, feeling more confident each time I looked at his astonished face. He looked blown away, his mouth open, yet smiling, and his eyes focused, yet impressed.
I stopped at the end of the first chorus, turning red, as he clapped his hands.
"Aubrey, that was-" he stopped, choking on words. "Incredible!"
"Thanks, Kian," I said, playing with the hem of my top.
"I never knew you were so talented," he told me.
The rest of the evening was amazing. We had walked the boardwalk a second time, before playing on the play structure like 7 year olds. Then, it started getting dark, so we headed for the fireworks.
We sat down on a blanket Kian had brought, staring off with a gap between us, which was very quickly sealed.
He put his hand around me slowly and cautiously, until I lay down on his chest, almost allowing him to hug my tightly.
The firework show began, the colours bursting brightly through the sky. I looked at Kian, whose eyes were bright and large, as he stared off at the fireworks, the loud sound familiar from my childhood years.
The show was long, so long that I ended up falling asleep on Kian, so instead of finishing it, we headed off home.
"Do you want to come in?" I asked Kian slowly, opening the door.
"Sure," he replied excitedly.
"What do you want for dinner?" I asked looking at the time.
9:23
"Whatever," he replied standing beside me. I heated up some fettuccine Alfredo from lunch, and we ate it on the couch, while watching Aladdin.
"I never would have thought you'd like this movie," I stated as I put in the DVD.
"Are you kidding? I love Aladdin!"
I laughed as I sat down beside him, resting my phone on the coffee table.
Half way through the movie, I started drifting off, until finally, all was dark.
