"Its time." I whisper to myself, I had been planning this for months now, but the time was finally here. I run down the stairs to the basement, grabbing my backpack. I shove the laptop, some clothing, and other essentials into it. I put on the dark black skinny jeans and a supernatural t-shirt. Also putting on the dark green hoodie I had gotten over the summer, lastly I put on a black beanie. In the cover of night, I would be almost invisible. I grab my blue Italian switchblade, just in case its needed. I grab the $500 dollars in cash I had saved from the job I had worked in the summer, and of course, I grab my phone. Quickly I text Amanda "i'm coming, be ready," as I walk out the front door. This is it. I'm starting a new life. I cant go back now. I take the first step out into the sidewalk, put my headphones on, and play heavy metal at full volume. I began to walk towards the right. Checking every house as i pass by. I had done this walk a dozen times, memorized it, i knew every street, every turn, by heart. But in the dark, everything seemed different. I found myself looking around. watching every movement, every shadow. I guess i was just nervous, and I had every right to be. what I was doing will change everything. a couple minutes later. a song came on, it was lips of an angel by hinder. It was our song. I cant listen to it without thinking of her, and the first time i sang it to her.
