for those who'd rather be dead

you are silent.

you are silent because you don't feel
anything.
your heart is empty.
you figure if it didn't beat any longer
you would be perfectly fine.
your thoughts are dark,
but your smiles are light,
and you secretly believe the world is moving in slow motion.
you don't even care.
because you have nothing to say
about this awfully wretched
yet
tragically beautiful world.

so you stay silent.
