I was in love with Mercedes just as much as Eazy was. I do feel bad that I came between them. I wanted to talk to Eazy and apologize for causing all this. As he turned the door knob to Mercedes room I stopped him.
"Eazy wait a minute homie I wanna holla at you"
"What" he said looking at me
His eyes were blood shot red and had bags hanging under them. His jeri curls hung down over his stressed face. I caused this man so much pain and suffering the least I could do is let him know that I'm sorry. I can't change the way I feel about Mercedes but I can make things right with Eazy. I will always love her and I want to be here when she wakes up.
"I just wanna say I'm sorry man I really am...I didn't mean to come between you and your girl she use to tell me all the time how she was happy with you ...You really the thing that keeps her going"
"She keeps me going too man I love her to much to let her go"
"I understand...I heared the doctor say she lost the baby"
"Yeah...I didn't even know she was pregnant man" he said with his eyes starting to water
"I did...I was the first person she told..she said she didn't know if it was yours or mine...I was thinkin maybe the doctor can still give us a DNA test so we can at least know who the father would of been"
"That sounds like a plan" he said wiping his eyes
"I'll talk to him man you go see your wife she needs you" I said patting him on the shoulder
"Thanks man" he said giving me a man hug
As Eazy went into the room and closed the door I leaned against the wall and let out a sigh of relief. I felt like some of this weight that I been holding on to was finally starting to let up.
