The day I woke up in the red casket with the purple and red petals upon my body was the last day of my existence. I reached up, pulling myself to sit-up. My eyes took a while to adjust to the outside world, blurry figures stand over me, looming in dark shadows.

"Another child. She is stronger than the others." A woman's soft voice whispered over me.

"Hello?" my vision clears around me, and I see a woman, as I suspected with waist long platinum blonde hair and sharp grey eyes, standing over me. She smiles at me, then turns to face another beautiful lady, with ebony hair to her ears, a pixie cut almost and an older man with a dark beard and slight greys loose in his mane.

"Remember our agreement, Adaline. She's the tie to all that we discussed." I adore that lady's voice. It's like a mother's voice to a baby. Soothing. The lady reaches for her partner's hand, peering over at me. I am clueless as to what happened before I woke up. I cannot remember anything.

"Will she remember anything?" Adaline asks. Um, nope. I can't even access my child-hood memories!

"No. She will be an absolute new person. Perfection. Somewhat alive." The lady turns back to me, the girl still laying in the casket full of roses and violets. She has a glint in her eye. I want to get out of this casket. I begin to climb out, legs first, that's when I notice what I am wearing. A long lavender gown is framing my body, a nightgown texture to it. The top is laced with lace in the neckline and sleeves. I have a soft pink painted on my fingernails and my hair is wavy brown and reaches my elbows.

"Beautiful. She is quite lovely. You are one treasured creation." His voice is breathy against my neck.

"Excuse me?" I ask, whipping around. I step back, a big gap forming between us.

"It's Ever, right?" His teeth gleam sweetly in the sunlight. He is beautifully attractive.

"I don't know."

"Yes." Adaline stepped in her hand, on my shoulder. Something was familiar to me about her.

"That's an intriguing name." The boy bows, but his tone is of mockery. I held my hands close to my abdomen and kept my posture strong. Was I supposed to curtsy? I turned to Adaline in confusion and she curtsies to me. I see the couple staring at me with tear stricken eyes.

"Where am I?" I asked and the lady whom I do not know rests a gentle hand on my shoulder. A surge of energy flushed over me, sending sleeping signals to my bodily functions. I collapsed into a sleep, the world becoming black once more.

I woke again, in a hungry state.
