(10) Dinner party

Once everything was done I went to go back into the hospital to get Mingus and Gunner. Mingus had Gunner fast asleep with him arm wrapped around him with his hoodie over his head so people couldn't recognize him and want pictures with him.

"Ming." I whispered to him. He jumped and looked over at me. He looked like he had been crying.

"Is everything over? Is Riley, Richard and my Dad ok?" Mingus asked in a whisper trying not to wake Gunner up.

"Yeah....everything is ok now, let's go." I added as I went for Gunner but Mingus shook his head as he lifted him in his arms and let Gunner's head rest on his shoulder while he unzipped his coat and wrapped him up in it since he had Gunner's winter coat off of him before we walked out of the hospital.

"Did she shoot him?" Mingus asked walking side by side with me.

"No....but God did she want to." I said. "Now don't be alarmed when you see your Dad he took a blow to the mouth but he's fine...I'm pretty sure Riley will doctor him up when we get to our apartment." I added letting him know ahead of time. While we got to the others.

I watched as Mingus placed Gunner into the Riley's car and got out and walking over to Riley and his Dad. I couldn't help to cry when Mingus hugged his Dad I could tell he was scared for his Dad then he hugged Riley which was funny since Mingus was taller than her by far.

"Are...you...guys ok?" Mingus asked trying not to cry.

"Were fine." Richard assured him smiling at him.

"Let's go, I want to leave." Riley said as she finished her cigarette.

"I'll drive." Norman said as Riley handed her keys over to Norman with out a hesitation.

Once she handed him her key's Mingus got into the back and Riley got in on the passenger side and closed the door to keep the cold air out.

"I'll be over at y'all's place after dropping off Gunner." Norman said as I nodded.

"Be careful." Richard said as he hugged Norman. "Thanks Norman." He added as he released him.

"No problem." Norman said before I hugged him as well. "Toots go take care of Ricky for me till I get there." Norman added as I kissed his cheek.

"Will do love." I said as I watched Norman get into Riley's car and peeped the horn as they headed for Donna's.

Once they were gone Richard got into his car and me in my truck. He followed me to the apartment and went in so I could check Richard over.

"Love I'm fine go get ready." Richard assured me.

"Take the shirt off or I'll do it for you stop being a baby." I ordered as Richard looked at me.

"So demanding." Richard said as he raised his brow at me.

"Fine I see how this is gonna go." I said as I went to unbutton Richard's dress shirt and he let me.

Once his shirt was off I seen the patch of hair that was on his chest then looked lower and noticed the redness around his ribs. I shook my head and stood from the velvet stood I was sitting on.

"That's gonna bruise...and I bet it's sore." I said as I went to my room and came back with Icy hot and a wrap. "This is gonna be cold so deal with it." I said as I took a piece of cloth and started to rub the blue cream on Richards chest then wrapped his ribs up.

***Norman's POV***

I watched as Mingus had his hand on Riley's shoulder and her hold his hand with her eyes closed trying to relax with the heat. Gunner was still asleep since it was warm in the car.
