So you guys seemed to like the idea of my interactive story so I guess we should just hop right into it. Before we start (I know, this sucks) this is a mix between two other fanfics. The runaway princess by Joce2649 and Elements by SamJayBay212 . I know I'm very uncreative. Hopefully this is better than I planned. Anyway, TO THE STORY!! (Also italics are your thoughts)
"Give me one good reason why I should!!" I screamed at my father while rushing up the large enlightenment of stairs.
"Please, (Y/n)! You need to marry him as a peace treaty!"
I stopped running and turned to the older man."I am 17!"
"(Y/n), this is a small sacrifice for your people!"
With a huff, I ignored his pleas and sprinted up the rest of the stairs. My room down the hall was quickly locked by me, and I slid down the fine wood. The area around me began to heat up, and I was forced to step away from the he door as my hair and become blood red flames. This was normal my usual hair and eyes would turn red or orange when upset. As an elemental, my emotions and I controlled the elements around me.
Angry tears ran down my face silently as the guards posted outside my door began to gossip. As usual, they talked about personal issues they've heard around the castle with no regard for anyone who might hear. The men were always insensitive to those around them; me included.
"Did you hear?" The first guard asked in a hushed tone. "The first born of O'khasis has run away."
The responded with, "And? I mean, it's not the big of a deal. Besides, the princess will still be required to marry the other son instead."
"Yup. But at least we'll get paid better with O'khasis in charge."
I scowled and stood up angrily. Screw you and your pay-rate. If the son of O'khasis can run away, then why can't I?
As I rummaged for things I'd need, I noticed how much noise I was making. The guards outside became panicked.
"Princess! Is everything alright?"
"Uh..." I glanced around and shrugged. "Um... Y-Yeah! I just... tripped?" Way to sound believable. There's no way I have enough time to pack.
"Your highness! Please, open up!"
I threw open my dresser and pulled out some older peasant clothes I had for whenever I snuck out. "Uh... I'm changing I'll be there in a minute!!" I nervously yelled in reply.
"You have thirty seconds!" Wow, thirty seconds? What if I was really changing? I pushed my dresser aganst the door and began grabbing some stuff. I threw a dark cloak on to hide my royal dress and tossed my clothes into a dull sack I had in my room.
"-Thirty! Princess (Y/n), open the door right this- huh?" One of the guards tried to push the door open, but it wouldn't be that easy for them. "Princess, please unblock the door!"
"Sorry guys!" I replied. Then, I searched the room for anything that could be useful. There was a dagger I always kept for defense, and I wanted to bring a single personal item as something to remind me of my life before.
Decision Time
What to choose?
A. A locket with you and your mom.
B. A small framed photo of you, your mom, and your dad.
If you chose A
Father has made it perfectly clear the he doesn't love me, and I now see it. I grabbed the locket that had been thrown on the ground during my chaos, and put it around my neck before jumping out the window with graceful agility. I sprinted toward the stables and hopped on my horse; riding out of the village gates with (Name da horse).
That day... Was two years ago.
"Oh, no! Where is it?" I realized my locket came off earlier and I couldn't seem to find it. I felt tears form in my eyes. No, (Y/n). It's just a stupid picture. As far as I'm concerned, I have no family.
If you chose B
I don't know if you love me, father, and I don't know if I love you, but I still want my family portrait. I grabbed the portrait, and jumped out the window swiftly. Then I mounted my horse, (name da horse), and rode out the village gates; free at last.
That was two years ago.
I sighed; looking down at the small picture frame."...I miss you guys." Then, I heard a rustling in the bushes and stand up. "Who's there? I swear to Irene, I will snipe you with my bow!" (Is that a thing? Snipe? Whatever, BACK TO THE STORY!)
That's when I spotted a fox, who came out of the bushes; definitely frightened. "Aww, I'm sorry if I startled you- Hey!"
That fox took off with my picture, but I decided not to chase after it because I knew for a fact I'd get lost. It's okay. I ran away for a reason. I can't be tied to anyone anymore. As far as I'm concerned, I have no family.
So sorry the chapter is extra long... Actually wouldn't you be happy if it were longer? Whatever I hope this was fun to read because it wasn't fun to write... I'm lying that was a roller coaster of emotions! 😝 Anyways, next part will be coming out sometime tomorrow morning hopefully... Or maybe tonight cuz I'm feeling hyped! Probably because I'm drinking soda. Comment below team coke or team Pepsi!?
