The couple discussed whether to ditch that day or not; after all they were seniors and the school year was almost over. However they decided to attend just only to ease the rumors of sexual behavior that would occur. They walked hand and hand to school that morning; they were silent yet speaking a full conversation. Their steps soon syncopated and the tweeting of the morning birds seemed to ease the fear that swelled deep inside. The school was now in sight.
"We could turn back" Said Kevin as he notice double d becoming pale, "We could drop out and move and just live far far away."
"Kevin", double d said as he nervously look at the ground, "You know we can't do that"
"Why not?!" Kevin said suddenly very emotional, "Look around D. The only people who would notice we were gone would be the one's who want to get in our business"
Kevin stepped in front of Double D and grabbed his other hand, so he held both, and looked into Eddward's eyes. "I don't know why but the world led me to love you, and I am no poet but for you I will do anything. I don't want you to worry about things in high school; we could leave. We can just go to another one for the remainder of the year if you want. "
Edd remained silent, yet tears framed his eyes.
"Babe...." Kevin soothed, "I love you"
Eddward stood there tears now dripping down his face; Kevin thought he was making Edd feel miserable so he just dropped his hands and took a step back.
"I'm sorry" Kevin said, "I didn't mean to overste....."
Kevin was interrupted mid sentence by Eddward leaping into his arms and kissing him. The two stood, just half a block from the school in each others arms....just as the school buses began to come around the corner.
