Update

Hey guys, long time no see.
It's been so long since i've written on here it feels so weird to start again after 4 years.

I'm not even sure if anyone will read this but if you are I do apologise for it not being a long awaited update to the story.
I don't think it's just me that's had an influx of Dracotok content on tiktok again but anyway it has brought me back to my roots apparently.
It's so crazy to me that I started writing this half a decade ago purely because I was away with my parents and had nothing else to do. Bless little 16 year old me.

I'm not fully sure why i'm writing this but I guess i just wanted to say that i loved creating this story. Whilst i'm aware it's far from finished, I also make no promise to continue with it for a few reasons. First of all, i can't bring myself to read what I've already written out of pure cringe and have no idea what's actually going on in the story.

Secondly, I know I'd hate so much of it if I did read it back so I don't think i would be able to pick up where I left off without doing a full rewrite.

And lastly, I'm 20 now (I didn't feel old before logging back into this account ahahah) and thus would feel a little bit weird writing about a 17-18 year olds relationship.
Whilst I could probably get past the last point, I think I'd need some encouragement to do it anyway.

Nevertheless, I thought i'd give a little life update! Since I last updated this fic I've sat my GCSEs (passed them all thank god) and my A Levels (also passed all of those because i'm an academic weapon).
I'm at university now which is wonderful and couldn't have prayed for a better experience.
Whilst my life is exponentially different to what it was when I began writing this, my love for the HP universe lives on, which I think has aided my return to wattpad (folded under no pressure from one ff recommendation off tt).

Anyway, I'm aware there's little to no point in this update other than me wanting to thank you guys for all the love I received when writing it. It was truly so so fun and it warms my heart that I was able to share my work with so many people (105k reads are you kidding me!!!). I guess I also wanted to see if anyone else here has been brought back from tiktok.

So, once again I'm making no promise to continue this story or write any more, I'm not sure Mr Riddle has many new gen fans yet but if you guys do fancy it being finished then I wouldn't be extremely opposed (after an intensive rewrite of course).

Okay promise I only have one last thing to say which is a big thank you to all you guys for reading this ridiculous story, I hope you're all doing well and haven't grown away from the fandom too much in the past 5/6 years, and that life has treated you well. (Also apologies if you were expecting a new chapter, I sincerely hope this suffices instead).
