You make your way to the school library, where Luke and you had agreed to meet for your tutor sessions.

You're nervous because you didn't know Luke that well and because you secretly had he biggest crush on him. Nearly everyone had a crush on Luke Hemmings at this school.

You never knew he was good at maths, you just assumed he was just average in everything, because he never seemed to participate that much in classes you both had together. In fact, he seemed more interested in football and music.

You had never seen Luke singing live, but you had seen a couple of the covers he had put up on his YouTube channel - not many people from the school knew about it, as if it was Luke's little secret. You had come across his channel when looking at covers for the song You Found Me by The Fray.

'Hello,' he greeted, already sat down at a desk with a small pile of books and paper in front of him. You smiled politely, nodding in greeting. You couldn't bring yourself to say anything yet, you were far too shy.

'What do you want to cover first? Maybe we can do the things you find most difficult?' He pulled out a list of important topics we would need to know for our exams and handed it to you, 'a revision list.'

You thanked him quietly, wishing you could have sounded more grateful - the teachers rarely supplied you with any resources to revise and study with, so this was amazing.

'Maybe we can go over integers?' You mumble, refusing to look at him, in fear of tripping over your words or ending up staring.

'Sure,' he began flipping through a book to find the right pages. For a while it was silent after, nobody talking. You felt awkward and looked up to see if he was writing or something.

He was looking right at you, a frown on his face. He caught you looking and quickly averted his eyes, but he sighed deeply.

'Y/N...' He murmured, causing you to look back up. He was twirling a pen between his fingers and staring at it intently, 'why don't you like me? You're not even talking.' You realised your shyness must have came across as rude or stuck-up, as if you didn't want to be there or be with him. He looked slightly hurt.

'Luke, I'm sorry,' you said genuinely, 'I'm just... a quiet person, I don't know what to say.'

He smiled and nodded in understanding and scooted his chair closer to yours, pulling the book and some paper in front of the two of you.

He began to explain how integers worked and how to answer questions on them but you could hardly concentrate. You could hear his words but you weren't listening to them, just the deep sound of his voice. You could smell his cologne and could sense how close he was. All you could think about was him.

'Y/N?' He nudged you with his elbow, handing out a pen to you. He had written out a question for you to answer. You took the pen, realising you had no idea what to do. Maybe you'd understand if you payed attention, you scolded yourself.

After a while of writing out numbers and scribbling them out you sighed and admitted, 'sorry, I wasn't paying attention when you were explaining...'

He chuckled quietly and went back to explaining again, this time answering the problem as he went along. You made sure you listened to every word this time and once he was finished with the small lecture, you tried the next question by yourself, using the small prompts he was giving you when you got stuck.

You still didn't understand it fully, but you understood more than when the teacher tried explaining it to you last lesson.

After a couple of attempts, you were soon answering the questions correctly without any help, earning proud praise from the boy beside you.

When the bell rang, signalling the end of your free period, you both almost looked disappointed. When you were at the exit of the library, you said goodbye, but just before you left, he said, 'uh, maybe we could carry on later? At my house?' He was nervous, and was scratching the back of his neck.

You smiled warmly and nodded, 'of course. I'd like that.'

You both walked away in opposite directions, excitement bubbling in the pit of your stomach as you thought about going to the house of the boy of your dreams...

A/N: please maybe leave a little comment if you liked this, or if you thought it was rather sucky or if you found it to be too short. Criticism is appreciated because it'll help me improve these, so yeah. ^_^
