I woke up from Johnathan and Caleb yelling at each other again for the second time. I knew what had to be done, Caleb had to behave himself if that was possible. I could hear a little bit of their conversation I noticed how they tried to be quiet so I wouldn't wake up.

"You came home drunk!" Johnathan whispered-screamed.

"That's not even that bad!" Caleb was screaming so I knew how come I woke up.

"Shut up Jamie's trying to sleep so keep it down."

"Oh shut up you're just desperate for a girlfriend or at least Jamie come to a party with me you're nothing if you don't. "

"I told you I don't drink I'm not even old enough and besides after the accident I won't drink alcohol ever again!" I heard footsteps going down the stairs but they were heavy so I knew Caleb had to of left.

I opened my door and walked out seeing Johnathan sitting on the wall with tears in his eyes. I didn't know about any accident that had happened with alcohol so I sat next to him. I hugged him and let him cry into my shoulder I tried telling him it's alright but he didn't believe me.

"What happened?" I asked him curiously.

"Caleb and I were fighting like normal." He answered with anger and love all throughout his face.

"What happened with alcohol and why won't you drink it other than that you're underage."

"I don't drink because..." tears were in his eyes again I knew it had to be bad then. " My brother was drinking one night at a party and he decided to drive himself home. He was speeding and not looking at the road and he drove into a tree at a sharp turn. He was dead from the impact and to this day I will not drink now matter if I am legal."

We were both crying because I knew his brother Daniel. He had been a great person a player but a great person. He was 4 years older than Johnathan and I knew he was his role model. He played any sport he could tryout on, he tried to get the best grades so he could stay on those sports, he was "perfect". I can't beleive I didn't know he was dead.

"I'm so sorry Johnathan." My voice breaking. "I can't beleive he's gone."

"It's okay, I mean it's been 5 years now but I still can't even believe how much I miss him. I mean we always fought a lot but I'd always love him." His sobs were over but he still had tears in his eyes.

"I think it's time to go to bed Thanny." I got up and walked with him to his room.

"Thanks Jamie." He laid down and fell asleep instantly.

I needed to talk to Caleb about why he was being so hard on Jonathan. I tiptoed down the stairs and Caleb was on the couch with his head in his hands. I went and sat down next to him and he completely ignored me. "Caleb?" I asked him softly.

"What do you want?" He mumbled through his hands.

"I want to know why you always are so angry and never home. Why you get drunk and bang girls when you want to. I just don't understand that honestly."

He laughed in his hands then looked at me. "I do all that stuff because I can. I'm never home because Jonathan doesn't want me to be here when you're here. He's afraid I'll make you like me." My jaw dropped from this news.

"Johnathan tells you to not come home because he's afraid I'll like you. He's such a..." I stopped myself from saying anything bad that I'd regret.

"Don't forget since he wants to be with you I can't be near you." We both started laughing that was the dumbest thing I ever heard.

I knew he liked me it was obvious but I don't think I like him the same. This news completely changed my decision. "Can you stay home tomorrow after you get out of school?" I asked him.
