Chapter 29

We arrived at the restaurant we used to go to all the time together. It's this wonderful place called everything on the menu. "This was your surprise place! I should of known." I shook my head and he laughed a little.

"Of course I take you here! I get free  food since Matt and Max work here." He smiled at me and helped me get out of the truck.

We walked into the building the smells of all the food mixing together making me hungry. Matt was at the stand and groaned. "Why are you two here?" We walked up to him smiles on our faces.

"We're hungry and decided to come here." Lucas told him and he rolled his eyes.

"Don't you have a boyfriend Jamie?" Matt asked me still not getting menus for us.

"I don't know if I do. We got in a fight kind of and I couldn't tell you."   He smiled and silently talked to Lucas.

"I only asked because you two look like a couple." I practically chocked since before Caleb that was what I wanted. "You okay Jamie?"

"Ya. It's just something about that almost made me die." Matt laughed a little and Lucas looked hurt. "Not that dating you would be a bad thing, I just I don't know what I was trying to get at with that."

Lucas slapped his hand over my mouth and Matt laughed and got us some menus. "Come on follow me." The restaurant wasn't all that busy and we got into a booth for two. "Hello lovebirds I'm Matt and I'll be your waiter today."

Lucas and I glared at him and he laughed at us. "You know what I want." Lucas told him and I looked over the drinks and food.

"Can I have the sirloin steak-tips with French fries, and to drink a sweet tea." Matt looked at me wide eyed and I gave him a look back.

"Lucas gets the same exact thing!" Lucas looked up from his phone since his name was said. "Get off your phone this is a date."

"This isn't a date–" Lucas was interrupted by Matt.

"This is now a date no matter what. No if and or buts about it." He turned around and quickly vanished off.

"This isn't a date Jamie." Lucas told me and I was kinda glad I don't want someone to say I was cheating.

"Okay." I looked at the menu and Lucas grabbed my hand.

"Jamie look at me please." I looked into those friendly chestnut colored eyes. "I do love you."

"I love you to Lucas." I finally admitted it and I don't even know why I still want Caleb.

"Really?" Lucas looked up at me shocked. "I mean probably like a friend though and I mean that's what I was trying to get at."

My face fell but then I laughed. "Ya that's what I meant to." He laughed with me and I tried not to be nervous. "I mean I who would actually love you."

"My mom does!" He screamed and everyone around us looked over at us.

I tried to hide my face which was burning up and Lucas had a huge smile on his. "Can we just forget all this?" I asked him and he shook his head yes.

"Does that also mean that I get to forget you may have a boyfriend?" He winked at me and I shook my head no giggles escaping my mouth. "You know you never giggle around Caleb why?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know he probably thought it was annoying." My phone went off and I checked it, Caleb.

It was a message from him and Lucas saw me hyperventilating. "What's wrong?" He asked me confused.

"Caleb just texted me." He looked at me intrigued.

"Read it." I gave him a look and he waved his hand for him to read it and I gave him my phone. "Hey fucking bitch, get the fuck out of my house and never return. You only had to say to me you were in love with Lucas and things would of been easier. I'm done with you, find a new place to live because I'm kicking you out bitch."
