The group neared the rubble of the jager household. "Well open it!" Hanji said excitedly, everyone else just held grim expressions, many had died to get here. No one felt like celebrating, but no doubt whatever was behind that door was important. Whatever lay behind that one lock would be worth every sacrafice made.

Eren slowly walked forward, key in hand. "OK dad, what were you hiding?" He mumbles and he places it in the lock and turns it slowly hearing a click. He takes a breath and begins to turn the cold metal knob.

Sunlight seeps into the dark room and Erens eyes widen at what he sees. "What is it?" Erwin asks. "It's...a girl?" Eren almost asks but half says. "What?!" Levi says, pushing him out of the way to see.

Inside the dark room were a bunch of scattered papers and files that had been drowned in water from flooding. Dirt covered everything and there was a bunch of food wrappers on the ground. In the middle of it all, shielding her (e/c) eyes from the sun sat a pale (h/c) girl in a beat up shirt that was to big for her and fell to her knees almost like a dress. It was stained gray from its original white.

"What the hell?! We came all this way for a brat?!" Levi yelled, angered that so many people had risked their lives for a useless starving girl. How old was she? Her face was thin and her bones showed but she seemed to have some curve saying she was at least 15, 16. Erwin came forward and looked at the girl who had backed into a wall. "What's your name?" He demaned. The girl didn't answer, scared by all of this.

"We take her with us." Erwin decides. "What?! No! Look at that girl she's skin and bones how can she be useful?!" Levi argues. "Our comrades have died to get to that girl, there is something about her that we need to find out." Erwin says. "We will just have to cut our own meals down to feed her and get her back to normal strength." He walks down to her but she cowers into the wall. He sighs and she looks over his shoulder to see Eren. Her eyes brighten and she runs to him as if she knew who he was and hugs him tightly.

"It seems she knows Eren." Erwin says. "In that case she will be placed under the care of Levi so that she can be near him." Levi crossed his arms. "No way! I don't want to look after two brats!" He protests. Erwin shoots him a look. "That's an order." He says sternly. Levi sighs. "Fine."

Le time skip brought by Erwins eyebrows.

Levi set a bowl of soup and bread down in front of the (h/c) girl. "Eat." He says flatly. Her eyes widen and she smiles as she hungrily gobbles down the food. He sits across from her with Eren on his other side. "What's your name?" He asks. The girl doesn't reply and looks at Eren. "It's ok, you can trust him." Eren assures her. The girl swallows her food and responds with her voice weak and raspy. After all, she had been silent a long time with no one to talk to. "(Y/n)" she responds. "Tch. Filthy basement dweller. Finnish eating and then clean up!" Levi demands before standing and walking off.

"He's not that bad don't worry." Eren assures her again. 'You're not exactly helping this' he thinks. "What were you doing in my basement anyway?" Eren asks. The girl just stares down at her food, silent.

(Y/n) POV

I stared down at my food, not wanting to answer. I knew I could trust him because he was one with a key but I still didn't want to tell him why I was there. Not yet. He'd only tell the others. They didn't have keys, I couldn't trust them. At least that's what Grasia told me. (Sorry can't spell) He said to wait until another key holder came to get me. It would be his son he said, Eren.

"Eren," I started, "I won't tell you just yet. But if you promise not to tell the others then I will." I think he was shocked that I spoke that much and I was a little too, it had been so long sense I'd heard my voice. "I have to tell them." He says. "If I don't they'll be mad, don't worry you can trust them." He says. "No." I respond simply. I couldn't trust anyone, that was a rule. Rule number one, only trust a key holder. Rule number two, don't trust anyone a key holder tells you to unless that person is Gresia. Rule number three, don't leave the basement until Eren gets there.

Eren sighs. "You'll need more than that to fill you up." He says looking at the now cold soup. He stands and gets some more bread from a cabniet. "Here." He says handing it to me. I take it and bite into it. It's so good. So much better than the crumbs I'd been living off of in the basement.

Something still tugged at my mind. He said I could trust all of them, but that one raven haired midget, the one that gave me such a cold stare, could I really trust him? "Eren, that man that was here earlier. What was his name?" I ask. "You mean corpral Levi?" He asks. Corpral? Was that man really that high rank? I ate my food. "I don't trust him." I responded, again taking a bite from the soft bread. "Not one bit." I say as I down the soup, it's cold but I don't care. I like it. It's food. And I haven't had much of that in a while. That's when Eren says something else, something I've been dieing to hear.

"Finnish up and I'll show you your room." He says. A room. A actual room. Not that cold filthy basement floor anymore, a room. With a bed. A clean, normal, room. A smile crept across my face. "Done." I said.

Wow that was way longer than exspected!
