"Milady?" a masculine voice asked me outside if my bedroom door.
"Yes, S?" I ask unemotionally. After the death of my parents, I don't laugh or smile or even giggle.
S is my only friend, I you can even call him that. He is my butler and swore to protect me with his life. For why I have no friends, it's because i talk to S and no one can see, hear, smell, feel, or do anything to S, so it makes me look like a weirdo. Only the other demon tamers can see S, but can't understand him. I'm one of few who can see and tame demons. There are 26 kinds of tameable demons in the world. All have names of letters in the alphabet.
The closer to the end of the alphabet, the harder to tame, but they are much more powerful. Mine is 8th from last, pretty impressive. I once caught a glimpse of a V. It looked like a lion. S is the only one that looks like a human though.
I want Z someday. That's my goal. One tamer can have all demons if powerful enough. Not all, but all of the different kinds. That's another of my goals.
I've also seen a B. I tamed it. It's my pet squirrel. It's red though.
"We have a visitor, milady." S said.
"Get Xander to answer the door and bring them to my bureau. Tell him to inform the guest that I will be right with them."
S speaks to Xander through sign language. Xander can see S because he tamed a C. C is a little toad.
Xander knows sign language because his little brother Albert(we call him Albie) is deaf.
I quickly get dressed and put my hair up into a messy bun. I quickly put on a little bit of neutral makeup and go to my bureau.
Albie was there.
"Hello, Albie." I say.
Xander was the translator. < Is that what you call it?> Albie made some hand sighs and Xander said "Hello, how are you?"
"Good, you?"
"Good."
"So why are you visiting?" I asked.
"I wanted to see you, Raven." He signalled me.
"Why?"
"For my D"
"Oh... wait what?!"
