Chap. 6

I woke up looking like a mess. As usual. My clothes smelt like smoke from the fire last night. I struggle to get out of bed and put my slippers on. I go to the bathroom and fix myself up. As I walk down the stairs, someone calls my name.

"Hey Sarah. How'd you sleep?" Says Hayes

"Pretty good. You guys have given me the best night of my life. I'm so happy here." I reply

"Oh don't you worry, there's plenty more nights where that came from." He smiles and nods.

When he smiles, it makes my day.

We go into the kitchen to make some waffles.

"Do you know how to cook?" He asks

"It's waffles, it can't be that hard." I smile.

"Ok sassy pants" he nudges me with his elbow.

We make the pancakes and just as hayes went to put whipped cream on it, he takes a chunk and throws it at me.

"Oh now your done!" I say laughing

I take the whipped cream off the counter and pour a whole bunch on my hand. I fake throw it so Hayes ducks but when he comes up....

Wham. Right in the face.

We both laugh then clean up the mess and eat our pancakes. We sit on the couch and watch Americas Got Talent.

When he's done he puts his plate down.

And his arm around me.
